Hi everyone,

I was thinking the same. We have been injecting on alternate days for almost a week now and have our first follie scan tomorrow morning. Our baseline scan was last Monday, and I was quite dehydrated so the nurse had problems seeing my ovaries. Hopefully everything was OK but have been drinking loads of water since.

Will let everyone know how we get on tomorrow.

G'Day - hope your cysts clear up soon.

Scottishgirlie - where abouts are you in your IUI cycle?

Nikki x

Hello,

Hope the cysts are clearing G'day, you're being very patient :-)
Goood luck Nikki with those follies.

I've been on a break waiting for my ovaries to recover from the over stim last time- hoping that in about 3 weeks (when AF arrives) I'll ahve another scan and see if can go at cycle number 2. Got my fingers crossed, but my boobs are really sore like last time so I'm wondering if there's still alot of hormones in me from last time. Oh well, although I'm desperate to get strted again I'm quite enjoying having a month off and forgetting about it all for a while. Keeping busy in work and love not injecting!!!

I'll be more prepared for it next time.

Hi everyone,

Had our first follie scan today - have a leading follie at 17mm and quite a few between 6mm and 10mm. Our IUI is scheduled for this Thursday so have our trigger injection at 8pm tomorrow night. Quite excited now :weehee:

Just thinking - is there a chance I could ovulate before Thursday?

Will keep you all posted anyway ...

HI girls

Hi Nikki, Scottishgirl, belated welcome.
Nikki your follie is sounding good, good luck for thursday and xfingers for you,

Scottishgirl how you getting on with your injections?

Gday and katie Hope the two of you's get a nice easy cycle, and get your BFP's

I haven't been on much in the past week as have been working late every night, short staffed!!!!!
Anyway i got through it and it passed the 2WW a Wee bit quicker. for AF to show up this morning. so onto round 3 for me! well maybe?
Phoned the clinic this morning to have a scan to make sure that i had no follies left over, and they told me that i might not get treatment this month as they don;t have enough staff.
Was gutted then started thinking on the positive side and thought that it would be ok to have a month off (no drugs) , Just had told DH on his lunch break, Then i got a call from the clinic saying to go down for a scan, and i'll get started on meds, but as long as i am aware that i might not get IUI, but they are hoping some of the staff will be back by that time!!!!!! So if there is still a staff shortage there will be plenty BDing for us :snigger:

we'll just have to wait again and see what happens.

Take care and babydust to ALL xxxxx

:hi: Girls,

It has been a long time since I have posted on the website but I have been keeping on top of everyones stories and journey so far.

My DH and I had our 3tx in October. This time we had a clomid IUI cycle and I am gutted to say that today the :witch: showed up! I have done nothing but cry all day and I feel sh**!

On top of this when I rang this morning to request tx again they have told me that I have to wait as I had a smear test last week and they want those results so we will have to wait till December!!

Would be really grateful if some of you girlies could give me some advice on how to pick yourself back up again? I feel like I am in a nightmare that I never quite get out of!

Nicky, Good luck, Hun and hope that the 2WW will treat you well

Coops, Welcome back and sorry to read that the witch arrived. As to how to pick yourself up... I didn't really to anything special. I'd cry, go out for a meal (with a glass of wine), go home and cry some more and then just get up and go on. To me there is nothing else to do but attack the next day and the next treatment cycle as they come. It gets both easier and harder with time as the previous pain subsides but each blow, for me, seemed to knock me harder than the previous.

Actually, it did help me to have someone that I could talk with about how I felt and that is where i found my FZ friends to be invaluable, esp the ones I communicated with privately. As I am single I did not have a partner to turn to for support...
Hope your personal nightmare ends soon with the best of happy news...

Hello girls,

Hope you're all ok.
Coops- I'm thinking of you and Sadie too- so sorry to hear that AF arrived.
Welcome Jack F and good luck to you scottich girl and Nikki.

I hope you're scan goes well G'Day- I agree, it's a really horrible feeling with OHSS. I've needed this break and am hoping that all has gone down now.

My boobs have been really sore this month so I think that that might mean I've still got lots of follies hanging around and also I think AF is on it's way- starting to have a little bit of a bleed- which means I'll have to go for a scan and see if we can begin round 2 in the morning. I wish It'd get on with it so I know either way. Also had a bit of spotting last week . AF not actually due for another week and a half, but I guess having had all these drugs and hormones etc in my system my timing will be a bit out!!

I hope that I will have had long enough for the overies to be ready to go again, although I don't know if I'm really feeling ready to start it all again.

Take care and have enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Thanks JackF

I've been for a scan today and I've got a cyst left over from the last time and all the drugs- so got to wait for it to go. If I have a very short cycle we'll can start our next IUI before xmas, otherwise it's going to be january.
It's soo frustrating, I had prepared myself for them not working, but didn't think it'd be so hard just getting to the point of insemination!! Oh well, here's hoping that January 2010 brings us some luck and we'll be able to at least try!!!

How's everyone else getting on?

Hey Katiebee

Sorry u still hav a cyst left, and hav to wait a while longer. Suppose its your body's way of saying its not ready yet. I hav had the same between each cycle, and understand how you feel.
I am back at the clinic next week, to see if they hav gone. I hav been drinkin lots of clear drinks and reduced my caffine intake considerably, so fingers crossed:)

Hello Lovely Ladies,

I just stopped in to say a Hello as of right now we're on a big break until after Jan. DH had tons of bw done an urine test and all came back good. No signs of Cancer ither. Was very worried as cancer runs in his family but he was clear of it. He does have a low testosterone level at 196 so his doctor put him on Clomid to hopefully help with that. He does have a LSC but his doctor said no matter low he gave us the go ahead to start IUI's again but DH and I said we're going to wait after Jan to see how the Clomid does then we decide from that point.

Of right now going to have fun and load my DH up on oysters and oranges LOL since it holidays an hope and pray it happen the old fashion way.

Check Back Later..after the holidays.

Happy Holidays Everyone..

Hello all, you may not remember us as its been a while since we were here, things have been that hectic for us that we have not been able to log in, but we have been reading whats been happening to you all. I thought I would make some time to fill you in with whats been happening hopefully it will be helpful or inspiring to some of you.
We had our first attempt of DIUI back in May, starting with the gonel f leading to insemination followed by crinone (which made me feel terrible), but this attempt sadly failed and its a really horrible and stressful time, but we went straight back into it the following month but this sadly failed before it got started as too many follies. After this we decided to take a break and try to take our minds off it all (easier said than done) we took 2 months off and it was the best thing we ever did. And at the start of sept we decided to have another go, all went well with follies and insem followed by cyclogest and we got a positive pregnancy test while on holiday 2 weeks later. neither of us could believe it. I would reccommend taking things one step at a time and don't rush. We have our first scan booked for Thursday and we are both nervous as have no idea if everything is ok. Good luck to everyone who it trying to concieve, we wish you all the luck in the world :goodluck: babydust

Hey Girls!

Well I have some positive news. I have had the scan this morning and all cysts on R side have gone. The L side has two follicles measuring at 1.5 & 1.8. Initially they were unsure if they were cysts or dominant follicles. They sent me home with a couple of ovulation test kits, which I have just done. It has indicated a surge! :dancing:
I rang the clinc and told them, and they have said 'lots of baby making'. I am so excited and cant believe my body is doing it naturally!!!! Fingers crossed this time will be the one xfingers

Hello everyone.

I was wondering if I can join in this thread please?

Im waiting to see when AF is starting as now that the trip to the State is cancelled, we will be starting IUI a month sooner. Currently on CD16, think I HAVE ovulated so AF should be here in 2 weeks time. But knowing her, she could be arriving at any time after that.

I've been told to contact my clinic when AF start so they can plan IUI in December as long as it doesn't clash with their closing dates over Chritsmas. Otherwise it would be done in the January cycle.

:chocs::flowers: for everyone :)

Hi everyone,

Had my IUI on 5th Nov and am due to test on Sat, but AF arrived this morning - thinking it is more than spotting - but will keep an eye on it and will probably still test Sat morning :tears:

We won't start again straight away (as don't want to test close to Christmas) so it'll be Jan 2010 for us!

Good luck for those testing in the next couple of days xfingers

Nikki x

Hello sasha and Dan,

I'm so sorry Nikki- big hugs to you :flowers:

G'day- that's great news- I hope you're busy!!!!

I've been bleeding for over two weeks- seems it is relted to the cyst but went to the docs on friday and now have some medication to try and stop the bleeding. Let's hope that it all settles downand it's not too long to wait for IUI number 2.

Hope you've all had a good weekend.

Hey gilrs!

Its gone quiet on here again, how is everyone?

Well I am 10 days since my surge showed, and have been spotting brownish stuff for last 3days. I am praying it is implantation as previous spotting arrived around day12, and in turn lead to AF. Fingers, toes, and everything crossed for a miracle!

Hey girls

Well I received blood results and the clinic said not great  They said my progesterone levels are ''30''????????? does anyone know if that means all hope is gone for this cycle? I still have no AF pain, and no spotting today. Really dont know what to think.

I think progesterone of 30 indicates that you have ovulated. Nothing more and nothing less. If you have ovulated that alone gives you a chance. You will then need to POAS in a few days time...

POAS = Pee On A Stick = home pregnancy test :D

As for no AF as yet and a negative test think of this:
12 days since surge = 10 days since ov = too early to test
16 days after surge should be about the earliest you could expect a somewhat reliable test result. A progesterone level done 10 days after surge is about the same a day 21 progesterone test.

Hi Rene

Thanks for that  I guess I need to be more patient then! My bloods were taken 7days after my surge, so could possibly be a little soon????
