Ding ding round 2 Updated to read round 3!

I got my Day 1 today so have rang up MFS to tell them. thumbup

I need to start doing the ov tests round about a week Sun I reckon. Once its a positive I need to call them to go in for blood tests. I'm ok with time off, but DH is currently working his notice as he has a new job happydance so he might have to throw a sickie or two. :whoops: I was hoping that once the bloods are done in the morning, I can get basted later that day but apparently they do it the day after depending on the surge levels.

By my online chart my actual ovulation day is my birthday - 28 March and its my 39 + 1 too. Lets hope turning that 40 age is lucky!

I'm hoping we have donor Olympic swimmers too! [zx151] [zx151]

Babydust to all us March Marvels! babydust :dust:

Confusion rules ko!

Just had a called from MFS. Apparently they need to do test us both for Syphilis! :whoops: CARE didn’t test for this so no results available. I also need a full blood count. She also said I need a blood type test but I said I’ve already written that down but as its not official they needed the blood test. I said I’ve got my old blood donor card and that’s ok to photocopy. She said can I call in this afternoon or tomorrow to take the test – hello! I work full time and I'm on my own at the moment, I can’t just up sticks and nip to Manchester – it’s a half day of a job getting there and back! :hairout

This morning one of the girls said I’m ok to do the pee ovulation tests then when I get a positive to go in for bloods done and they'll baste the day after. The other girls just said I need to come in every day from next Thursday for monitoring. I said that I can’t come in every day, just like that. She said one blood test on positive day won’t tell them anything – they need to monitor for a week. She relented and said I can do the pee ovulation sticks, then when I get a positive, call up and they do the basting that day..

Don’t they realise people actually work and can’t just up sticks and fire off at a moments notice! :headache

We are going Saturday to have these tests done!

Sorry for the rant but this is all new to me. I wasn’t faffing around with everyday bloods at CARE. :headache

I feel for you so much Susie. Its very confusing when diff people give you conflicting info esp as you say, you work full-time and its a long journey to get there. Its hard to get time off work when you have to go alot as you don't want to take advantage to make it easier for when you do have to go alot as per IUI. My boss has been v.good for the IUI cycle that was just abandoned but on the next one I may have a change of boss who may/may not be as easy (we don't know yet his/her name and we are starting 2nd April) so I am bit nervous about whats gonna happen.

D day tomorrow!

I've been doing my pee ovulation test since Thursday and I got a positive this am. I need to ring the clinic to tell them then get a time for basting.

I'm excited, nervous and apprehensive all in one.

Slightly perplexed!

I’m due to go into MFS tomorrow for the ol turkey basting job. I was asked to come in with a ‘comfortably full bladder’ I later thought that perhaps it was because they are going to scan me before doing the DIUI. I rang up to ask but they said they don’t scan as a rule? When I was with CARE in October, I had 2 possibly 3 scans before the DIUI. I was on Clomid where I’m not this time so perhaps this is the reason why?

Any thoughts ladies?
