Thank you! My right bum cheek hurts after the double dose. So by rights the left one will hurt tonight. All fun and games eh. Had bill today from the clinic for the private sperm washing. So send cheque off for that. They obviously had to estimate insem day as it said on there 12th March. Thats Monday week so obviously if next blood test not til Friday 9th March that won't be happening so maybe 19th March more realistic. Anyway feeling tired now as busy day with housework and my lifelong friend E that I've known since I was 5 (nearly 30 years now) came down to see us so that was great to catch up. After all that gas-bagging I'm feeling knackered now though.

DH collected the drugs for me today so he asked about the bruising on my bum cheeks. Nurse suggested he might be blunting the needles drawing the liquid so suggested he changed the needle before injecting me in the bum. I was a bit annoyed but I didn't tell him so I don't put him off. Bless him!

Thank you! We are both idiots. Long story short I managed to work plug out with my foot Mon night without realising it. DH rang BT yesterday and they were even sending a new home hub. I thought he'd checked it all before ringing them. But I didn't admit that I was on the net when it went off suddenly. Basically I am an idiot but thankfully net working fine so at least back on today as got today off!

I seriously believe my brain fell out when I fell downstairs!

Hello!

Good day today. Had blood test and nurse was v.happy with the results of that. Had scan today and that showed that in the left ovary: 1x15mm follie, 1x14mm follie and few small ones. Right ovary: 1x11mm follie and 2 small ones. Endometrium Lining: 12mm. Collection of Fluid in Cervical Canal (mucus apparently which is apparently good!).

Next blood test on Monday 12th March 2007 at 8am. Next scan when it opens at 9am on Monday 12th March 2007. All being well if the 3 follies have grown to about 18mm (and preferably the smaller ones haven't) I can expect to be inseminated on Wednesday 14th March 2007. I have - in advance - booked Thursday and Friday 15th and 16th March 2007 off as leave so I'll have 4 days rest during the 2ww.

I am so happy today. Last Friday when told I was going to have to double up with 2 powders/1 water I feel a bit depressed. Still a way to go but I am maintaining my PMA (positive mental atittude) for as long as possible in the hope that and my pessaries will let it stick.

Unfortunately not feeling very great right now. Had scan this morning and on left ovary: 1x20mm 1x18mm 1x13mm. On the right ovary: 1x16mm and 1x15mm. Linnig: 15mm.

I knew it would be abandoned when I saw that as they wanted 3 good follies 18mm approx. The 13mm they were not worried about on the left ovary. But the 15mm on the right ovary meant there was 1 too many at the right size. After seeing the blood test results and speaking to the Consultant, Mr Cahill, he decided it was too risky to carry on so 1st cycle of IUI was abandoned:tear:! Have to get a prescription of Norethisterone tablets to bring on a period and not have sex until I have this period. Collecting prescription tomorrow.

Feel flat as a pancake. I know I can start 2nd cycle of IUI (counts as 1st as this was abandoned) when I have a proper period (the tablet-induced period doesn't count) but I feel like I have run up against a brick wall. Trying to maintain my PMA but it ain't easy. Might feel better when I have a good nights sleep.

Thanks for all your help, support and texts.

Feel bit better about it today in some ways. Just want to start again and thats the frustrating part as I know it will be in at least 4 weeks time after next proper a/f. This 1st cycle started 13th Jan and ended 12th March so it feels long way away.

I just hope they learn from this so they know what to expect next time. I hope so so I don't have abandon it next time, although I know its a possibility for each one I do.

Thanks for all your lovely words of support and virtual hugs. Here's to you blowkiss

So sorry Lorraine. I've had the opposite but feel the same as you iykwim. My puregon injection stopped working. When I took it in they confirmed this and gave me double the dose and told me to do the same 12 hrs later. Meant the iui went ahead but the folls were only 15 and 13 so unless they took off in 12 hrs can't see why it all went ahead. especially as we're paying! Wondering if we have just wasted our money.

Asked about next month and cons said could not go straight to another cycle. Have to wait a month to let ovariesrecover from swelling. Such a bummer. You get all your hope up just to have them dashed by thigs out of your control.
