Round 2 over

Well IUI number 2 is over for us, AF has arrived this morning. Feel absolutely gutted. Dreading telling DH tonight as I know he will be devastated. Have to do a pregnancy test in the morning, just to make sure. Then will contact our specialist.

It looks like our next step will be IVF, but have to have a review appointment with our consultant first.

Feel so ;( ;( ;( ;( ;( at the moment, going to have to put a brave face on as going out for lunch today with friends.

I used to work in a place (if I tell you I would have to kill you) where a trolley came round with homemade Rock cakes and Muffins and bacon butties...every day!!! (dribbles like Homer Simpson) Now that was tough to resist.
Buy yourself something you dont need but will make you feel special. Nice underwear set or some kinky boots!!!

I am trying to take it easy.

The only probs is no space for food, so by the time I drink my 3 litres of water.

I can only have a couple of fruits, before I feel so stuffed.

Am trying to have some protein as well, to help with the eggs. So I have just had a drumstick for lunch. Apple for breakfast & will hope for some space for dinner.

Now I understand how pp that have stapled their stomach get to loose so much weight. :D

I like the underwear idea & have been hinting to DH what I want for xmas.

Thanks everyone for your love and support. It has been very much appreciated.

Well I have done a HPT today and as expected it was negative. Suffering with AF pain today, and thought I was doing ok emotionally until i had to go to our dr's surgery.

Had to go and collect a blood pressure monitor for my DH and bumped into my dr. She asked how was I, replied, yeah ok, she hugged me, in front of everyone in the waiting room and said hang on in there. me grabbed monitor and legged it out of the door in tears. Felt a right nerd bursting into tears. Have just had to send her an apologetic email explaining why i was so emotional.

Now just waiting to hear back from our consultant re next appointment and the possibility of moving on to IVF.

So sorry Moomin

your GP sounds a lovely person, not many take such a personal interest in how you are. Do you see her much for your treatment or is it all at another clinic?

No unfortunately we don't see her for treatment, as the treatment is based at the local NHS hospital, although we are private patients. But she does email us to find out how things are going. She is fab.

Moomin,

Really glad you are sounding so positive and looking to the future. I saw Harry Potter last Weds aswell, really enjoyed it!!
I feel a little bit in limbo, no fert tx planned. I said something in passing to DH today about it and he said "we havent given up on this you know". Well maybe in the new year we can see how things are going financially. But for now I am just a support buddy...so I hope you need me or I am lost!!! :( I wil follow you to another thread if needs be. :))
Let us know how it goes tomorrow with the clinic. We are supposed to go and see our clinic on 13th Dec....not sure whether to cancel or go anyway.
Take care

Go to the appointment. If nothing else it is a chance to get input from the doc and discuss options with him.
Moomin - you are moving so fast I am starting to lose track. Sorry for your BFN. Also congrats on taking the next step. I'll follow your story on whichever board you end up on...
