Hey I just did the trigger in the belly - it was the easiest of the lot! Less bloated today - guessing that’s because things are in the move.

Any tips for egg collection tomorrow?? X

Hi all. Has anyone had any side effects from Synarel Spray? I’ve been on it for 4 days and this evening I’ve had a hot flush and felt very shaky. It’s horrible. ;(

Sorry to jump on the middle of a thread - massive good luck to everyone cycling at the minute

Baby dream I think in another thread a few weeks ago you told me that for NHS go they would want a summary of private treatments before giving appointments? I ended up having to postpone but finally my letter is in post so should I bring up my treatment summary before I even get the letter ? Where do I bring it to?

Thank you and good luck ! Xx

Hey all - thanks for the well wishes. Egg collection all done over here - I found the procedure quite tough but we got through it - got 8 eggs in total which we are delighted with. There was a couple more but they just couldn’t get to them and it was too sore to keep trying. Just taking it easy at home and enjoying cups of tea now!

Babydream your a star thank you . Bbird good luck with fertilisation 8 is a great number ..everything crossed for good news tomorrow .

Iv had 3 previous cycles now and on all of them I was asleep for egg collection.. is there no way (even by paying extra) that you can be asleep for egg collection with RFC? I'm so nervous at the thought of being awake for it ..I always have really painful embryo transfers so I can only imagine egg collection it is really worrying me does anyone know if they will let you pay extra for sedation ? Mrs2017 I was asleep for 2 and awake for the last one. Didn’t realise that they were keeping me awake until I didn’t go to sleep. At the Rfc you can take your partner in with you!

Hey Odi - yes spoke to RFC-all 8 have fertilised - they are going to reassess them on Sat morning and decide then if I am
Coming up that morning for Day 3 transfer or waiting for day 5. Do some people get told this early if day 3 or 5?

I’m tired and bloated today but less discomfort than yesterday.

Good luck to everyone starting their injections soon - it flies in once you get going with those!

Bbird that’s excellent I’d be so chuffed with that. I’ve never cycled with rfc so not sure how they book people in. Working now though that we have to travel 2 hours to get there if they tell us that morning. Would rather know the day before so can sort a baby sitter. But suppose it is in and out!

Babydream good luck today!

Is any one else stunning?

I’m on day 3 and will take my 3rd injection tonight but my overies already feel swollen and tender. I don’t remember this happening so early on! And worried as I have to work all next week!

We got good news today-7 embryos are looking excellent and 1 just average so waiting for Day 5 transfer. Does anyone know if they are excellent today, how likely is it that they make it to Day 5. This is our first cycle so all brand new to us.

Hey ladies
Good to hear what stages your all at again : D I started my Menopur injections on Thursday night I was shaking doing it I was so scared it was going to be sore but once that first one was done I was fine :)
this will be my 3rd injection tonight and I’m not really feeling anything could be just early days. I also start taking Certrotide tomorrow morning in my tummy and then have a scan on Tuesday to see how things are going. Egg collection is planned for 24th and I am really nervous about it :-( I feel like I’ll forget to breath during the procedure and then take a panic attack
anyone any advice?

Thank you

Bbird we had 7 fertilised on day 3 and by day 5 had 3 excellent blasts - one of which turned into my beautiful daughter and the second of which we’ll meet in 2 weeks, the third and final one is still on ice awaiting transfer when I can bring myself to a stage of going again. The rest stopped at day 4 but we were delighted with 3 good blasts. Good luck!

Spring I was a wreck before my EC but my husband and the lovely nurse distracted me and I was given good pain relief. It’s literally over in seconds, you will be fine. It’s the means to an end, that’s what I kept telling myself. You shouldn’t really feel anything when you’re on injections, if anything my symptoms disappeared as I had hormones in my bloodstream again, whereas on the spray I felt awful. Hope it all goes well!

Hi all, just reading and I note that most seem to be injecting in the evening.... I know I have a while to go yet but when I do start, my schedule has 2 menopur on day 1 and 2, then 1 on day 3 and then on day 4 onwards I’m on cetrotide and menopur. Apologies as a newbie & as my consultation feels like it was ages ago, I thought it was 1 injection morning and evening. I’m just confused about day 3 - do I take morning or evening and also when I’m on cetrotide- do I take it morning and then menopur straight after or is the menopur meant for evening! Sorry girlies - I’m getting so confused....anyone have/had a similar schedule? xx

Hey Keepsmiling - you are on the exact same injections protocol as I was!!!

You do two days of Menopur x 2 - one injection AM and one PM - pick a time that suits you and do it at same time morning and evening - mine was 8AM and 8PM. Then Day 3 you only do evening Menopur. I did all Menopur injections at top of my leg. Day 4 then you Cetrotide in the morning and Menopur in the evening - again I did mine at 8AM and 8PM - I did the Cetrotide in the tummy. The nurse told me to do Menopur in leg and Certrotide in tummy but I know others have said you can do all in tummy - maybe best to check with your nurse.

Hope this helps

Keepsmiling the injections are subcutaneous so it dosen realy matter where you do them.its just where ever you find it easyer belly or leg and depending on what nurse you get they will tell you where .but leg or belly the both work.just do what you find easyer.

Thanks Babydream - the only thing I can remember from that consultation meeting is that the nurse said to mix it up between both thighs and both sides of tummy. From what I gather on here (which is great) is that tummy is easier?
Girls I’m so excited but only on day 5 of 9 days tablets and then there’s the wait for cycle to come..... you girlies all ahead of me so I’ll be calling on you all when time comes!

I found tummy easier because ive more fat on their.but i would recomend staying about an inch a way from the belly button i found it a wee bit sore and more likley to get a wee blood spot when i went close to the belly button.but other than that it was a piece of cake.

Hi all

So had my day 4 scan. My lining is at 10 and have 10 folicals between 10mm and 16mm. Have 2 cysts. So I’m further on that I should be and they’ll likely reduce my meds. Have to call tomorrow to find out. Had a look at my old notes and I was at this stage at 7 day scan last time but they didn’t reduce meds. They didn’t measure or look at any under 10 today.

Hope you’re all well
