First FET

Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone knew how an FET works? I just had my first ICSI which stopped after EC due to OHSS, managed to get 7 blasts in the freezer which is good and is the only thing keeping me going!! I meet with consultant at the start of May and I’m hoping to start again ASAP I’m not prepared or willing to wait months when I feel totally fine and ready to go again!! OHSS was mild and I’ve already had AF since stopping treatment so feel even more ready to go!!

Any information would be great about when FET starts and drugs etc

Thanks in advance!!

Hi cqcq

Sorry to hear you weren’t able to progress to transfer right away . I think from reading Annie’s forum someone said if it’s NHS it’s likely to be 4 months .. privately I’m not sure. Again great to hear your feeling better

I was private hon, had to wait for period after treatment and then one normal period and then could go again.

I was on Buserelin injections for a week, then started Progynova tablets for about 3 weeks, had 4 scans to check lining was thick enough and then had FET.

Hope the time goes quickly for you, the whole thing is a horrible waiting game isn’t it xx
