Ovarian cysts & ICSI

Hi all, I’m following this forum for a while but only just in the list for ICSI back in mid Jan so quite a while wait to go yet!!!

I have low egg reserve plus 2 large cysts on one of my ovaries, both approx 8 cm, I’m now on another waiting list to get them removed.

Has any of you have any experience with this, I’m concerned that there may be damage through surgery due to the size which would further hinder my chances.

I’d be delighted to know if anyone has any feedback ina similar situation, how it’s went good or bad and recovery etc??

Thanks in advance!!

Hi Etoot. I had an cyst develop after a failed treatment last year. The doctor said it had to be removed before further treatment. It took 6 weeks to get the appointment but all went well and after the removal in June I stared my next Isci at the end off August. The hysteroscopy/polypectomy was fine and I slept through it .Afterwards I bleed for around 5 days but this can be different for everyone. My lining was a bit thin at my app 10 days later but the doctor let me start on my next period. I did get pregnant but unfortunately i miscarried .i'm on my 3rd icsi ATM and now on the 2ww ..Hope this helps.

Oh Blessed really hope it all works out for you this time round!! Thanks for the info, my mind is racing overtime thinking worse case but just need to relax and let the doctors do their job, it’s the constant waiting that has my mind in overdrive, it’s good to hear others have had similar situations and have gone into to have treatment.

I’m marked as urgent but rang and got out on a cancellation list, lady was lovely and said they get people cancelling all the time around the holiday period and good weather!! X

It will come around sooner than you think & it's really nothing to worry about . I think it's the waiting game that's the worst part,it's so frustrating. I'm testing on Tuesday, that will be 12 days past transfer so I'm praying hard for good news , I don't have many symptoms though so not sure how it will pan out ...In the hands off God now ..
