I have my 1st scan tomorrow to see how follicles are progressing and I’m almost sick with worry. Last ivf attempt they only got 1 egg out so I’m terrified I’m not responding again. Did anyone ‘feel’ anything prior to this first scan? I’m finding it difficult to remember!!

I’m feeling like just before my period too! I’m trying not to read into it too much. Think being at work has helped me think about something else while I’m there. My biggest issue is the nasty progesterone pessaries! I’m finding as the days go on (sorry to be graphic) I’m feeling then leaking more down below. I woke up a few times in the night thinking I’d started bleeding and had to get under the duvet with my phone torch to check!! Hopefully we’ll be able to laugh at all this one day!! Xx

Pup I had a wee chuckle there at you under the covers with your torch. I know exactly what you mean, I feel the same. My sister in law has been through the process and said that progrestone mimics period and pregnancy symptoms so I'm hoping that explains our cramps. I'm off to bed to read the Secret and be positive! Hope we feel better tomorrow xx

Ah mine is a urine test on Wednesday. I had a little peak, it’s different to what I’ve seen before. You have to put a few drops on a dish thing. Feeling ok but go through anxious phases where I’m convinced it’ll be negative.

Good news fifs. How many did you have transferred. Me and Tansy both had day 5 transfers xx

Thanks guys. Got the two in, as these one wasn't as good quality and wouldn't have made it through freezing. They don't think it will survive in any event but better in than out!
Tbh I had myself prepared for news that neither were suitable so it's all down to a waiting game now.

Hi all,

I had scan and they saw a decent amount of follicles however nurse said some were too big for this stage of stims and so will probably not contain viable eggs at EC. Bit disappointed with that but trying to remain positive.

Have been looking through my protocol, those at GCRM have you used ovitrelle for trigger? I also seem to be reading that I will have to use ovitrelle instead of progesterone pressaries if I’m lucky to have an ET?!?!! Has anyone here NOT used the pessaries but only had 1 injection post retrieval? I’m a bit confused! I suppose what that might also mean is that I can’t POAS to see if I’m pregnant before official test date?

Sorry ladies, I’m just a bit confused with it all, any advice very much appreciated.

Hey mews, sorry to hear that, but as long as there as dome still viable there's still hope. It only takes one! When are you due ec? Not sure about your other qs sorry.
Lauren it's great to hear a story so similar. They all give me such hope! Just trying to balance it with onsetvative realism, I'd rather be pleasantly surprised than disappointed!!

Hi Fifs,
Egg collection will most likely be the end of this week, I’m going to guess it’ll be Friday. There were approx 8 follicles in the ‘right range’ and a further 3 that were too big, lots of small ones too. Nurse did say that at my 2nd scan (tomorrow) that they’d probably see more follicles so will have a better idea of numbers then. I am hoping for at least 7 eggs.

Hi mewsbabes - I was with gcrm. Ovitrelle for trigger and ovitrelle again post et instead of progesterone pesseries. I did ask the nurse about it and why I didn’t need additional progesterone and she said it was enough progesterone to get me through to implantation (if it was going to happen )- after that the body / pregnancy will be like any other natural pregnancy and produce enough natural progesterone so no need for any additional. They (in gcrm) see the protocol with ovitrellle as mimicking a natural pregnancy cycle and don’t see the need for pesseries once the body is producing progesterone itself .

The ovitrelle injection you take post et is only a small dose so technically it will be out of your system before otd - just be careful not to test too early .i tested 9dp2dt and got my positive - ovitrelle was our of my system by then (2 days before otd) xx
