Hi ladies

I'm due to start injections mid next week. just wondering what time of day is best? im taking sprays 8am-8pm. do you have to leave time in between taking the spray and taking the injection?

So far on the sprays I'm having a bit of a sore head and a over heating a bit at night. But generally it hasn't been too bad.

HI Marie,

I have never had sprays so not sure.
With my injections I generally took about 8/9pm. They recommend you take around the same time each evening so I did usually try and stick to that. I also had no side effects or anything diff happen me during my treatments so cant offer any advice on that, xx
there are plenty of ladies on here will be able to offer you some advise though x

Hi Marie, I am on the the sprays 8am and 8pm and was advised by the nurse to take my injections at 6pm as this would be the best time to fall in with trigger shot for EC. Don't no why lol she advised it so I just stuck with the time she said. The day before I started the injections I perked right up and have had no symptoms other than can feel the follys growing just wee niggles here and there if its even possible. xx

Hey ladies so had my egg collection yesterday and i produced an unbelievable 31 eggs they said they had never seen the like. Was rough after as felt so bloated and sore then come the bad news that it wasnt safe for me to proceed with treatment and that they were all going to be frozen so my treatment is delayed for a few months was absolutely gutted felt like a bus had just come and hit me. After all this time waiting and then bang your waiting again. I have to let my body meand. Yesterday was hard waddles like a duck bloated pain wasnt too bad but man when you need the toilet you feel it. Lost 5 pound overnight and less bloated so that good. Foned this morning and 25 of my eggs were suitable for injecting and 19 fertalized so i have to ring on Wednesday to see how there getting on before they freeze them all.
Has this happened anyone else? And how long did you wait for restart of treatment?

Ladies I've been reading your comments for a long time now but only decided to join now. Lilly2016, I had to have my treatment postponed. I went in for egg collection on 12th Jan with GCRM and they got 5 egg but where surprised and expected more. It appears I started to ovulate prior to collection and possibly lost some. My body obviously didn't respond to all the drugs as it should. They said I would have a withdrawal bleed then they would want me to wait for another normal bleed before starting progynova on day 21. I have PCOS and my periods can be every 2/3 months. I just had my transfer on Monday and on the 2ww. It only took that long because of my cycle so it should all hopefully be a lot quicker for you. They actually said that frozen transfer can be better as it allows your body to rest from all the hard drugs. Apparently America are doing most of the treatment this way. X

Hi Sparkle, they had me on 150 Menopur. I was slow to respond but as I have PCOS they preferred it to be that way. Try not to get too disheartened as you will get there. They didn't change my dose just kept me on it for few more couple of days. They got 5 of which 4 fertilized, 3 made to day 3 and 2 to day 5. Transferred 1 and 1 in the freezer lol x

Woooooooohooooooooo!!!

In your face Friday 13th!!!!

Blood test confirmed a BFP today : D My blood HCG levels are 241, they like it to be over 25 at this stage....wonder what that means?! Scan provisionally booked for 3 weeks time, praying we see a little heart flickering away. Oh my goodness what s journey, emotionally exhausted.

I’ve been a bit untruthful as I’ve been doing HPT since last Sunday (5dp5dt) and they’ve been positive, but didn’t want to jump to conclusions until the blood test results came in.

I am so delighted and now petrified. This is the toughest journey that I’ve ever gone through, and I suspect a lot of you ladies have gone through too. Hang on to that dream ladies, you’re all superstars. Xxxx

Hi hopefully, I experienced lower abdominal cramps, but think that was the progesterone. Nausea started 4dp5dt and I’ve felt the nausea everyday since, including being very light headed/dizzy. My nipples are SUPER sensitive. My other 2 pregnancies which gave us our sons I had no symptoms until 7/8 weeks, except from the cramps at the beginning.

Mewbabes I am so delighted for you. I've been thinking about you all day. Your HCG is really high, I'm thinking twins??

Daisy I'm delighted for you too. How many weeks are you now? Have you decided on what sort of care you want? My GP asked me that when I spoke to him after my BFP (when I was ill with ohss) and I thought it best to wait until my 7 week scan with GCRM which is next week. You're so right, this wait until the scan is torture. I keep doing pregnancy tests, I can't help it! xx

I have had 2 successful pregnancies in the past and I chose consultant led care. You may in fact actually have no choice due to the ‘circumstances’ of conception. If I’m lucky enough with this pregnancy I will also chose consultant led care. You get to see a dr and have a scan at every appointment you have (approx 7-8 scans). With midwife led you have one scan at 12 weeks then one scan around 28 weeks and sometime that can be it! Seeing a dr I felt more under control of my pregnancy as you can ask for things etc...for example my 1st son was born a week early because I was so uncomfortable and the dr decided he would sweep my membranes to ‘get me started’. He was 8lb 4oz born 1 week early. My 2nd son was staying put and measuring big so the dr decided I would be induced on my due date, he was 8lb 10oz and was born 90 mins after my labour started!! Dr told me that if I was left to go over, which typically happens with midwife led care, he could’ve been over 10lb and that would’ve caused problems for him and me.
It is completely up to you what you decide to do, so many people will have different stories. I, personally, would never choose anything but consultant led care. Xx

Tansy I am 10.5 weeks now, I think ivf is automatically constulant led care I will be under altnegalvin hospital and I think that's there policy although my appointments will just be at my local health centre the consultant does a clinic there once a week, my booking appointmnet they didn't no much of what care i was going to have but il know more at my 12 week scan where I will meet the consultant, mews I heard that they don't let ivf babies go past there due date is this true xx

Different Drs have different opinions daisy, one dr said that he wouldn’t let me go over due date due to ivf, the other wasn’t fussed. Stand your ground and make noise, ‘the person who shouts the loudest, is heard’.

Our clinic stays Consultant led and doesn’t let you go over due date, I was induced with first, though had started labour the night before anyway and was told to have elective c section with second as emergency one with first went wrong. IVF babies are said to be bigger, mine were 9.6 and 10.4 xx

Thanks for the advice ladies. I will try and opt for Consultant led if I can. It's been a hard enough journey to get here so the more reassurance I can get throughout, the better.

Hi all

Just wanted to say to all those who worry about testing too early in case the trigger shot it served... you could always test next day or day after first to see if you get a positive cos you know it would not be pregnancy or if it’s negative you know the shot had left your system and then if you test later and get positive you know it wasn’t trigger. That’s just what I do as I am desperate at the Tesco g side of things x

Got my bloods back and I'm all good to go! Have an appointment on the 1st to go through paper work and plan schedule we'll be using a sperm donor so will hopefully choose this as well. I'm over the moon to be properly starting! They seem quite happy to have treatment over my holiday in July as well.

Have started maca and royal jelly supplements to help improve egg quality and also pre natal vitamins.

Lily I have ended up in the same boat as you... EC was on Sunday 20eggs 11fertilised!! Have mild OHSS so anything that is left when I call on Friday is going in the freezer!! How are you feeling? I feel worse so I’m going to ring tomorrow and let them know although I’d say they’ll just say keep drinking but it’s hard to when your stomach is growing with every glass lol
