Hi Daisydo. I was actually just about to start a thread like this wond wrong where everyone's at? Late period seems to be a thing with spray! I'm on day 3 of injections. Not much to report thank God. Minor headache and cramps. Evening times aren't much fun as I get anxious over them and I'm fecking snowed in which doesnt help me. Oh and I'm a she devil today. Mood is not good.

Hi ladies, can I join you? I'm starting my nasal spray tomorrow for an fet. I'm lucky enough to have a gorgeous 2 year son from previous treatment and have one little snow baby on ice that I'm going to have transferred all being well. Just my luck though that I've come down with this awful flu and have been in bed all week. Really hope it doesn't affect my treatment!

Good luck to you all xx

Hi Daisy, I found the spray to be the worst bit. I had headaches and awful night sweats and hot flushes but as soon as I started the injections they stopped. I'm not looking forward to starting it again especially when I already feel rubbish but if it works its all worth it in the end. How long have you been on the spray?

Hi,
I’m on the fourth week of my downreg spray on FET cycle. Can’t say the spray is pleasant but we are made of strong stuff!
I had a FET cycle last yr that didn’t work out for us. We are very lucky to have a little one from our fresh cycle.

Treatment can be tough going at times- but wishing everyone the best to get through the next weeks/ months ahead. Just focus on each wee step xx

I'd like a 3 I think because I'd be terrified day 4 could perish them and then there's nothing. It's all so terrifying. There's only one wee bit at a time, will there be anything, will they fertilse, will they stick? All so daunting.

It's important to be positive but I also think it's important to know that things may not work out. In my head I know all these things might happen but deep down in my heart it has worked and I'm gonna have our wee baby so I have to keep reminding myself of all these things because if this doesn't work I have no idea how I will cope. I thought I would be bad enough but that was before the nightmare of sprays, drugs and procedures and the anxiety I put myself through for it. I'm so so afraid of a complete breakdown if it doesn't work because as much as I tell myself there's so many hurdles to go through I have myself convinced we are having a baby. Is this nuts?

I'm with the RFC and they said if 4 or more survive to day 3, they will wait to transfer until day 5 as they can choose the best quality more accurately however that's not to say day 3 is bad as I know girls who had day 2 transferred and have beautiful babies now. But my point is It's the clinic's choice so don't panic about having to make the decision yourself. Also they decide how many will be transferred so once again just put your trust in them. I had 9 eggs retrieved, 9 mature and 6 fertilised overnight. On day 3 you'll be given a time to call and they'll give you an update (luckily all 6 of mine survived to day 3) and we waited until day 5 to transfer. On day 5, they said 3 were of decent quality so I had one transferred and two frozen. The others unfortunately didn't develop to a sufficient stage. They did watch these are a further 24 hrs but didn't think it was worth freezing.

I'm in my 2ww and it's emotional.

Hi ladies, I am due to start norethisterone in a couple of weeks, followed by injections. I am wondering how long you are planning to take off work for EC/ET? I was planning to work around it and see how I feel but I hate letting people down. Also, only my boss knows so I don't want to be in and out of work, and having to explain myself! Thanks in advance for any advice xx

Hi tansy I’m working right up until ec but I know some other people take off from the start of treatment. I haven’t had any side effects really so I’ve been fine so I would suggest waiting and seeing how u feel and then if u can work good but if not just go off. I would prefer to be working to keep busy but everyone’s different xx

Tansy they recommend taking off the EC and the day after then the transfer is couple of days later, am taking 5 weeks off starting from injections only because my job is both physically and mentally draining il miss it but I just know it's best for me to take off, it's actually only 16 work days that I will be off because I work 3 days one week and 4 the next, my EC, the next day and my ET are days id need off which would leave me going into work for one day that week so I just said what's the point in going in one day! Just do what's best for you, il miss my work but I have a 4 year old and will still be busy with school runs taking her to after school activities and stuff to so won't be bored lol xx

For those of you able to work right up to EC fair play, if your lucky enough to have no symptoms from the medication even better . I for one work an extremely stressful job that requires me to travel large distances and ensure the safety of a team. For some keeping life as normal is the key but unless it was a desk job with no stress no heavy lifting and requires no attention span I wouldn’t be doing it. Again each to their own but the aim is to look back with no regrets.

Exactly how I felt Martha, my job included too many risks and I couldn't have worked with these cramps from the injections anyway. I'm glad I made the decision to quit. I don't want to look back and think...what if?

Daisydo, symptoms are worsening by the day. Bloating and cramps. The odd headache. I feel nauseous today but I think that's tiredness as have been up from 4.15am for my scan. Clinic told me symptoms are normal enough so im not too worried. I was just saying to hubby today I couldn't have continued work with it I just wouldn't have been fit. I'm normally so full of energy, fit and healthy. I'm just drained these days.

Hi ladies, how are you all getting on? I'm on day 5 of the spray and no real side effects so far although it's kinda hard to know as I've been ill anyway so generally feeling rubbish!

For those of you who are taking time off work, do you mind me asking what you told your employers? Last time I took from day before ET until day after testing. I told my boss what was going on and my doctor gave me a sick line and it was all very straightforward. I had planned to do the same this time but I have a different boss now and I don't feel very comfortable with her knowing about my treatment. I had thought I would just fake an illness and get a vague sick line from my doctor. The problem is I'm off sick at the minute with the flu and have been off nearly 2 weeks. I don't think i could go off sick again so soon without giving a very good reason. What does everyone think? Should I just use holidays? What is everyone else doing? I'm like you Martha, I travel long distances and have a very stressful and busy job. I am convinced that taking time off the last time was what made the treatment successful so really don't want to have to just go to work. Xx
