I'm not going to be that helpful I'm afraid as I don't quite know why a long or short is chosen. I had long and I had irregular cycle but don't know my amh ( or what it was then anyway). Hopefully someone far more helpful will be along soon! Xx

I don't know either. I've always had a long protocol yet a lot of my friends have only ever had short.

Good luck whichever they choose x

I think it comes down to what the clinics think, and they all have their own opinions about which is better for egg quality etc, mine always preferred long protocol for some reason, which means joyous down regulation
Good luck

I have no real idea either but on my last cycle they changed me to short protocol to try and produce more eggs. I always produced good quality but low numbers.

However even on short protocol the result was the same, in fact I had less eggs but produced a baby so who knows!!!!! Good luck
