Hi Martha,
If you get your letter mid Nov, you'll def be starting/going through treatment over Christmas id say.
The dates which i remember are staring treatment 1st week Nov, egg transfer 13th Dec & my test date was Christmas Day!!
I hope this gives you a good indication of timeframe.
:o)

Thank you so much Bumble sorry only replying tonight, it has been a crazy weekend . I'm hoping I will be one of the ones on the list for letter on the 30th. Going to ring tomorrow just to be sure...I'm sure they know me by name at this stage lol. I will keep you posted. Joys you must be so excited and nervous at the same time . How long did you have to wait from accepting your place to pre treatment appointment?

Hi Girls I called the RFC yesterday to be told I was third on the list but that the girl who deals with lists wouldn't be back until today. I called this morning to be told that there was a validation meeting??? and letters will be sent out next week . Not sure if I will be one of the lucky ones as its likely to be the ones that should have been sent by now but that were held off due to the funding issues. The girl in the administration office was great and tried to put me at ease but having had to defer for three months its coming up to a year on the 19th November since we went on the list and the whole thing is starting to make me so emotional :( . I turn 38 in February (I know that's not old lol) but i'm starting to feel my time is ticking by. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 10 years so I know another few weeks shouldn't make a difference . I hope all you girls are keeping good and this waiting time is passing quickly for you all as it did for me in the beginning.

It's awful that they stopped calling people because of 'proposed' cuts. Surely nothing should have happened until there was a definite decision.

Hi JourneyAtoB you have hit the nail on the head !

I think they got word on the 13th Oct that funding was ok? and to proceed but with staff holidays etc the people dealing with the lists have just sat down today to put a plan in place? I had to defer for 3 months due to husband having surgery :( and this took me up to the 8th October , I had assumed wrongly that I wouldn't have any longer to wait that it was just a case of calling once I called to say I'M READY lol. My letter might be out next week but then again these letters maybe going to those who would have been called if the stop hadn't been put on. I wouldn't be the most patient but its getting really hard ...every day is like a week :( . Hope you don't have much longer to wait .

We went on the list 12th May, so from looking on here looks like that would mean February. We did pay for a private cycle whilst on the list, but had egg collection last week, and none fertilised, so we're right back to the beginning. I'd like to start again right away, but consultant thinks best to wait for NHS one.

I'm sorry to hear that journeyAtoB, can I ask why they are advising you wait? Is this to allow your body or your mind to recover? Wishing you all the luck for the next go xx

Awww I'm so sorry to hear that JourneyAtoB. That must be tough. Maybe they want you to wait and give your body a change to relax for a while. I'm on the list from 26th of may so we should get called around the same time, I'm thinking around Feb to from what I've read here x

We knew there was obviously no guarantee of success, but it wasn't the step I had really expected failure, so it was pretty disappointing. I think I'll feel better after Tuesday once I can settle myself either way. Aw it will be nice to have someone going through it at the same time :)

Yeah, it's a hard part to be unsuccessful at. I worry about that, not getting enough eggs or none fertilizing. I hope all goes well at your appointment on Tuesday and you're able to try again before your nhs cycle, if that's what you want. I actually typed it wrong in my last message, it should have said 16th may that we went on the list x

Hi JourneyAtoB, I got put on the list on the 11th May and I'm also just after a private failed private cycle. My review appt is this week so waiting to hear what they say. I would love to go again straight away but will probably wait until the free go as Feb isn't that far away now. It's such a stressful time going through it all and then for it to be unsuccessful is very disappointing :(
Hopefully you get some answers at your review appt and your next go you get your bfp xo

Aw Ellen1 I'm sorry to hear about your failed one too. It's a strange set of emotions, no matter how much you tell yourself there are no guarantees, and try not to get your hopes up too much, it is such a disappointment when it doesn't happen. Good luck with your review appointment. Now there's 3 of us should be getting called around the same time in the new year :)

I'm sorry that your private cycle was unsuccessful, Ellen1. Fingers crossed your next cycle works. Its nice to know there are a few of us who will all be going through it at the same kind of time. Might be nice to set up a what's app group or something with anyone who went on the list around may, then we could all keep in touch and help support each other through it all x

Thanks JourneyAtoB and Janelle132. Yes that would be nice to do something Janelle. Your right Journey I kept telling myself not to get my hopes up it might not work 1st time but still a big disappointment when it didn't work out, I just have to try and think positive for the next time and hope it works xo

So I called this morning only to be told they still have not gotten the go ahead? That it will be at least another 2/3 weeks. I'm absolutely devastated...I know it's ahead of me and some of you may think why do I call and do this to myself lol. Going by what's on here I'm not the only lady to be told the 30th...another 3 weeks......

Anyone received a letter to go for blood test?

Hey everyone I am new to this and looking for some help. I am on the ivf waiting list and received a letter yesterday inviting me to come to the RFC for a blood test. How soon after this do I get a consultation? Thanks so much

I went on the list on February 22nd this year. I had booked an apt for GCRM but might cancel it if the nhs go is going to happen around the same time anyway. It’s just a letter telling me to come for a blood test on Monday 13th. I don’t know if that means I’m at the top of the list ?

Hi ladies, I went on the waiting list for icsi on the 10th January. I got my acceptance letter on the 28th Sept. When i called 5th i was told they couldn't give us our dates yet. My husband and i were devasted so we went on a last minute holiday. I was so happy to come home to find a letter with our dates. I had my first appointment last Monday the 30th Oct and my next appointment is on Monday the 13th. Has anyone got any advice on what to expect next. I know the apt is longer & i collect my meds. I am getting quite anxious for some reason.

It is impossible to not think about it. I think about it constantly but at least the ball is rolling and hopefully u will start all the drugs etc soon. Did you just have a blood test last week? Is that all they do on the first apt? Sorry for all the questions it’s just nice to have people to talk to who r going through the same process. Most people have a mad night of passion and we all have to go through this

Anyone else starting in the next month or so? I start my nasal spray on 25th Nov and injections on 28th Dec (delayed due to the Christmas hols). Bit gutted it's postponed but know I'm lucky to get my dates, and the balls slowly rolling. Would love to chat to anyone going through it on similar dates.
