Beginning icsi

My husband and I have our 1st patient information meeting this week for icsi. We have been put forward for this as my husbands sperm forms are at a low percentage with a slightly reduced count.
Does anyone have any advice on what we should ask and how we should prepare?
This is our 1st time on a forum thought it would be good to hear other people's experiences.
Thanks xx

Hi sparkle, which clinic are you going to? At my info eve there were lots of us there and was so much to take in, I saved all my questions for my consultants appointment. All I would say is if you are not sure of something, even if they've repeated it don't be afraid to get them to explain it again. Regarding preparation just make sure you are both as healthy as you can be, cut out caffeine and alcohol completely, esp for DH as it does make a big difference! My DH has issues too, as well as me and by changing our diet, stress levels and the type of exercise we do there has been an improvement. More so with DH than me. We also both take a multi vitamin, wellman conception and I take the one for women. We also take cq10, DH takes maca and I take royal Jelly and omega 3. We have also cut out as much refined food as possible but that's easier said than done!

Good luck with you info evening. X

Thank you Smihel for your information it's nice to hear others stories and views. I'm at Southmead in bristol. Just been looking through the pack there is so much to take in!
Ooo that sounds good Will have to try cq10 and Royal jelly, we're taking the wellman and wellwoman conception vitamins.
Do you carry on taking the vitamins during icsi?
I've got my notepad at the ready for the info meeting :) ::P

Thanks again xx
