IVF/surrogacy in Thailand
Dear all, we are a UK couple and we are expecting twins through a surrogate mother in Thailand. I am the biological father. What with all the controversy recently over the couple who left a child behind in Thailand and rumours that the military regime is planning a crackdown on parents coming to Thailand for surrogacy we are a little worried. We are also concerned about the massive delays in getting UK passports. We travel over next week and the twins are due soon after. Has anyone had a child with a surrogate mother in Thailand? Did you apply directly for a UK passport or did you go the registration route, or did you obtain a Thai passport for the child and apply for a visa? Any help or advice would be gratefully received.
