new member icsi question

Hi everyone, my husband and i have just had the offer of icsi, which we accepted. Can anyone tell me the difference between short and long protocol? I had my blood test and bmi checked months ago so do I have to have it checked again before my pre treatment consultation. Blood test is scheduled for next mon and ptc the following, but my day 21 falls inbetween the two. :) :) :)

Hi whimbush, I have only ever done long protocol I'm afraid, I went on the OCP for about 3 weeks and then started down regging with Buserelin, including the OCP mine took 5/6 weeks.

I wouldn't have thought they would do more bloods if it was only a few months back.

Wishing you so much luck for your treatment xx

Hi and welcome to :FZ:
The difference between long and short is that the short one is quicker and avoids the long down regulation phase.

Hi,
The apps went well. Waiting on our schedule coming in the post tomorrow. I start my spray on the 24th November, on it for 4weeks. Then injections for near 2weeks. EC is on the 2nd January :) :)

How are your patience holding up waiting on apps?
