FET - only 1 frozen 6 day blastocyst - will it survive? Is it worth trying? Any BFP examples?

Hi there.

I'm waiting to do FET with just 1 frozen 6 day blastocyst.
I am just recovering from a icsi miscarriage and worried I can risk more failure so soon. Worry over 1 not surviving, not working and miscarriage.
Can anyone offer advice?
I have had 1 previous fet which failed
2 icsi cycles which have worked, I have 1 gorgeous DS the other was the miscarriage.

Thanks x

Hi Sparky

I defrosted 1 day 6 blasto and am now 36 weeks PG, so it definitely can work. I also had a MC after my first ICSI so understand how scared you are feeling. Good luck to you and take care :xxx3:

Hi sparky,
I totally understand your worry hun, im currently on an FET cycle, i too only have 1 day 6 blasto that im pinning all my hopes on... the only thing you can do is try and be positive. im petrified that my lil snow baby will not survive the thaw, but i have to believe that its got a good chance of doing so... afterall its survived 6 days in the lab...
Also Net, thanks so much for sharing your fab news!!! it gives me a renewed hope ... Congratulations xxxxx

Hi Sparky and Birdii, i'm currently 10weeks pg with our one and only frostie. I know i'm still pretty early but all is ok so far. Our wee frostie was a day 5 blasto. I felt exactly as you do Birdii and i felt there was absolutely nothing i could do to influence things and what would be, would be and ultimately felt quite calm about it.

I wish you both all the luck in the world :goodluck:
