If you have a two day transfer then 4 cells is the optimal number, during my time on here I have seem plenty of people get BFPs with them, including twins. With four embies it is common to do a 2dt, and at the age of 28 you have every chance of it working.
Wishing you lots of luck x

thanks for all your responses its very much appreciated this end.

i just really need one to take as this was potentially our last try due to funds!

this is probably a silly question but how do they know which embryos to put back in at day 2 as presumably they all have 4 cells .
is it a case of them guessing do you think!

i have noticed before some1 had a 4 cell on day three -so are mine growg to fast . ?o(

They expect 2-4 cells on Day 2 so your others may have had 2 or 3 cells. They also judge quality by how equal in size the cells are, and by any fragmentation. They will have picked the best two.
On Day 3 there should be 6-8 cells , so a 4 cell embryo is slow at that stage and less likely to stck, although it can still happen. Yours were exactly right - dont worry! Good luck!

They look at the shape of the cells and see if their is any fragmentation they have various grades even at that stage.

oh right yes that all makes sense.

i just figured if Im not expecting it to work at least if it doesn't i shouldn't be too disappointed should i, i know its the wrong attitude to have but that's how i am. my husband is so positive its crazy but he is very optimistic about every thing.
he says Im young and have age on my side, do you think that really makes a difference? sorry to keep going on,! :)

Just wanted to pop in and wish you luck and I hope you get a BFP. I was like you, looking for success stories. It really helps with PMA. I have everything crossed that this 2 day embie makes him/her self nice and snug

No I had 2 blasts transferred when I conceived my son but when I was trawling the web for success stories I came across 100's of success stories from women who had 2dt so it definitely can happen. When is your OTD? x
