Buserelin as ovulation trigger?

Hi everyone - has anyone here used buserelin or any other non-hcg trigger shot to reduce the risk of ohss?

I am at risk, and my consultant has told me to use it instead of ovitrelle. He says it is as effective, but I'm not so sure. Apparently egg numbers and quality are the same if not better, BUT when it was first used the implantation failure and miscarriage rates were much higher. Apparently the ovaries need the hcg meds to produce enough hormones to sustain any subsequent pregnancy. They do inject the ovitrelle after collecting the eggs now to achieve this effect, but can this possibly work as well as just giving it to trigger? Anyone had successful cycle using it? many thanks xx

I have heard this before, but I haven't used it myself.
They will give you progesterone to sustain pregnancy afterwards anyway so you don't need to worry about that. The clinic knows what to do so try to trust them.
Take care
