Implantation Bleeding - What's it like??

Hi

I'm on cd 24 and 9-10 dpo. I usually have a cycle anywhere from 25-27 days in length, so should be due on in a couple of day's time.

This morning I've had some dark brown spotting, with a little red/pink, which has now pretty much stopped and has not got heavier. I've never had any spotting prior to af before and don't normally get spotting for any other reason. Of course when I saw it I just assumed it was af coming early but now that it's stopped, I'm not sure and I'm wondering if it's the implantation bleeding that I've read about.

If you've had implantation bleeding, what was it like? How long did it last?

It's freaked me out a little - I'd be majorly disappointed if it's af (again!) but also because it has reminded me of how my first miscarriage started :-(. Guess my body will let me know if time.

Been feeling so very tired as well the last few days so had hoped for bfp this time.

Hi Phoebe,

Not sure I'm much help here - like you, I've never had spotting before so can understand why this has alarmed you. My guess would be that it is a good thing though as your embies would be 7 days old now (is that right - you had d5 embies put back on Monday?) - mine was day 6 when it was put back and I could see it hatching so implantation must come very soon after that wouldn't it?? Implantation bleeding happens in lots of women - fatigue is also one of the most common symptoms of pregnancy, although this is due to progesterone surge which can be mimicked by cyclogest drugs we are taking.

Fingers crossed it's all good hun - hang in there!! Hopefully some ladies who've had BFPs will be able to give you some more definitive guidance (I feel like I'm guessing with everything these days!!)

Oops - sorry. Two Phoebes on FZ have confused me (easily done I'm afraid!)

Good luck - I do hope it is an implantation bleed! xfingers

Hi Phoebe,
Implantation bleed is like dark blood and o ly a little spotting really. However spotting before af it can also bea sign that af is on its way. Unfortunately there is no way of knowing the results till you miss your period and test positive.
Hang on in there and wait a little longer. xfinhgers it was implantation spotting.
Take care

Hello Phoebe

I had implantation spotting with DS1 - it was around 9-10 dpo too, but was really only a little pink discharge for a day. Then it stopped and I had my BFP 6 days later. I have also occasionally had a little brownish spotting a couple of days before AF starts. So as Maria says, there's really no way of knowing for a few days yet. But it could be... so xfingers xfingers for you!

Bleeding got heavier overnight but still lighter than normal period. Strange. Guessing it's all over again though.
