Do u all used these grobags do u really think they are good I dunno I yet have to realise the benefits pleAse enlighten me ladies as I'm kinda on the fence Amelia God love her loves fleece blankets she hold them to the side of her face scary but these are breathable.

Today I went to the out of hours doc and Amelia s prickly.heat.was that bad she gave her an antihistamine medicine which is only recommended by a go as it really shudnt be given to child under a year without their express permission let's hope this we love gets a good nights sleep

Hi girls

Louise - new shoes how exciting but how expensive aren't they for tiny feet and app there feet grow every 6 weeks lol

Cleo - I've used them since birth pretty much and love them but now I'm terrified of giving him a blanket, my friends dd is 6 months and she gives her blankets and has never used a sleeping bag, prickly heat poor wee soul I had it once and clawed myself to bits it was awful.

Well this time last year I was in labour and in the way to hospital, little did I no it would be a very very quick labour lol

Louise, how lovely! Bet he looks cute.

Sasha, how quick was your labour then? How tomorrows party goes well

Cleo, my dd loves her gro bags. She had blankets until she was 3 months but then started pulling them over her head and kicking them off in the night so I put her in a sleeping bag and she sleeps much better.

Sasha happy birthday to your ds :-) hope you all have a super special day
Yes the shoes are expensive but I was well impressed to get them in the sale for £7 instead of £26!!! And yes net he looks super cute - keep looking at the shoes in the hall and smiling ;)

My lo (when it was cold) had a sleeping bag and a blanket over that! At the moment he just has either a sleeping bag or just his sleep suit. The growbags or sleeping bag are just good they keep them tucked up without the worry of them getting caught up. Although when they get older and more mobile they appear to be able to get out of them anyway! If your lo is comforted by the blanket and lo is happy then  how did she go last night? Any better with the meds? I hope you (and she) got some rest. Xx

Happy Sunday all :)

Morning girls

I no was super quick looking back I was in shock after it and was out the same day didn't even seem real now I think about it.

Louise fantastic on the shoes always nice to get a bargain.

Can't believe ds is 1 today, he's been up since half 5 and shown no interest in his new toys, next year he's getting a room filled with balloons coz that's all he has played with this morning lol. Dh and ds are back in bed so I'm going for a nice peaceful bath before the madness begins lol

Hey girlies

Have fun today sasha how exciting.
I'm in the net club for long labour 30 hrs in total so.sasha u were lucky ducky . And as for toys Amelia loves playing with fringe of cushion lol forget about the toys lol

Still dunno about sleepbag might give it a whirl I do have one maybe it'll help sleeping thing. We had a better night last night but I dunno as cud be the medicine though as it does make make one drowsy so we will see. She went down at 8.30 and first woke at 3.30 I hope it is not the medicine and just a change in her sleeping patterns

the temp took a dramatic drop today so yeah lo might get a bit of a break.

Hi everyone

Any bets on the new Prince's name?! I'm going for George.

It's 31 degrees on the baby monitor tonight! Soooo hot I cannot wait for this really hot weather to end. LO is sound asleep thankfully in just her nappy bless her. She had apple today and loved it. I spent the morning steaming and blending veg! Silly thing to do in this weather but it had to be done.

How is everyone?

Hi everyone

Sasha how is DS?

Cleo, how is DD sleeping?

Hi Louise, Cheenab And everyone else

Not much to report, DD is loving crawling everywhere on her belly commando style! Having to baby proof the house already. We are continuing with the weaning and gave her some bits of nectarine to feed herself which she loved. She's teething really badly just now though so not sleeping great bless her.

Hey ho ladies
Just back after a weekend down home for brothers wedding, it was hectic but great.

Net dd seems to be settling down her eczema has been so bad but she is a trooper. Last few nights she has went down at 9.30 and slept til 5.15 wanted a drink and turned back on her side and then she went back for another hour I don't wanna jinx it but maybe tide has turned I'm hoping I did change two things though her onto hungry milk bottle before bed and she gets two spoons of baby rice as well we have discovered she is hungry later rather than at 6 when she was gettin spoon she now gets still her spoon at 6 and just 2 teaspoons of baby rice at 8.30. Also the last 2 nights she has slept in same room as us because we stayed in hotel so maybe that helps too she may feel a little more reassured. My mummy realised the later feed thing because she was sitting with her eating a yogurt at 8.30 one of the nights and Amelia seen her and cried until she got some u shud have seen her lol.
How are all u other ladies

Cleo how is it all going? Glad things were settling down, are they continuing well?

Hi Sasha, Louise and Cheenab, how are you all? It's quiet in here!

AFM not much to report. DD is still commando crawling everywhere! She's moving into her own room next week. I keep getting really upset about it, silly huh. But I know she needs her own room as we disturb her when we go to bed. Will miss her loads though!

Net- no it only lasted a couple of nights now we are back to up 4 times a night I dunno what else to do. I'm at a loss an need to just accept she is a bad sleeper and on top.of.it she has a bad teething rash and is teething pretty consistently. She also rolls herself into her stomach now and the upset in the cot cuz she can't get back . I have tried leaving her to cry it out and get back to.sleep herself but she just does it for what feels like an hour I left her full 15 mins one night as well nothing she just got hysterical
Can I ask about follow.on.milk are u going to use it Amelia is eating 3 feeds if 7-10 spoons a day now
So it's bottle then porridge then yoghurt and toast and a bottle dinner ie veggies and a bottle and a bottle for bed shud I use follow.on milk

Oh Cleo you poor thing you must be knackered. Lia is up at least twice of a night too if any consolation!

I can't help re follow on milk as exclusively breast feeding still (well for milk). She has a feed when she wakes, then porridge then milk through the day then dinner about 5pm. Introducing lunch from 6 months. My health visitor did say there's no need for them to have follow on milk as long as they are getting adequate milk from forms and cows milk after 6 months in the form of milk or cheese, yoghurt etc.

Hi girls

How are we all?

Cleo I only moved to follow on milk because my ds was on stay down milk as he was always sick but I agree with net yoghurt, cheese and cows milk in food will help if u don't want to change.

My ds is having the most horrific dirty nappies at the mo not sure why, we normally assuming teething but that's about 8 weeks now the haven't been great any ideas? He's also back to biting which he had stopped for a while, it's bloody sore and he also drew blood and bit my dh on the nipple oops lol.

Worked a 12 hour shift yesterday into today, it's wrong to be getting home when my ds is getting up :(

Girlies
I think I wanna change from the first milk onto the follow on I was at docs with Amelias skin and she happened to say that the first milk is full of calories and all the things they need cuz they are exclusively on milk but I should move on to second milk as she is weaning now and it isn't as heavy and complement s the diet better with food plus it has iron. Dunno wat to do my sis stayed on first milk for ages. Jus wanted to see wat u all where doing .

Net thanks for the sympathy it's hard but I just have to persevere and hope she settles xxx it's hard on us mummies.
Sasha that's shut the working 12 hrs thing I'm sure u miss lo xxx ;(

Hi ladies

Sasha that us one long shift bless you. Sorry to hear re DS nappies. Could he be having a reaction to a food? Maybe take him to your doctor if you're concerned?

Cleo it's a good point re iron. Iron is in a lot of veg and meat though I think. I am giving DD multi vitamin drops which have iron in them too.

Morning girls

Louise how was the christening?

Cleo I'd go with your instinct neither choice is wrong

Just discovered my ds has a top back tooth but I'm panicking a bit about his poos, tmi time but they have been very soft for a while now, there not runny just soft but thick is this normal? I haven't worried before now because he had been really constipated and they were really hard and he was in so much pain that when they got softer I was quite happy but now I'm worrying soft isn't normal?

Hi all

Louise how was the christening?

Sasha, could be just teething? If it doesn't clear in a few days maybe go to doctor?

Cleo sorry if I made it sound like follow on milk was bad, not my intention. I am clueless on formula milks! Agree with Louise and Sasha you need to do what feels right to you.

AFM not much to report. I also have a poo concern though! DD has pooed three times today, usually she goes every other day. Did your LOs go more once they started solids?

Zacharys poo really varies from one day to the next!! Sometimes once a day sometimes 5 times!!! And again sometimes solid some times an explosion!!! My hv said its perfectly normal.

Took Zachary to his first dentist appointment today. He wouldn't even open his mouth rotf typical!!! He was rather chuffed with his Thomas sticker though!! ;) typical my first app after my maternity card runs out they say I need a filling!! Just my luck!!! ;)

Hope everyone is ok xx

Hey girlies

Net u didn't offend me at all believe me I'm just as clueless and if been using formula from 8 weeks. Well i have decided to move on to follow on after I finish this tin of milk I have left .
As for the poos Amelia was an every other day pooper until we started solids and then then she cud be up to twice three times a day but that only lasted a week and now she is back to normal I think they poo more cuz of th fruit N veggies they are getting and it does change consistency to more thick lol soz tmi it's normal as they are no longer on liquid diet hope this helps.

Well i don't wanna jinx it but sleeping is getting better she now can roll over onto her back from her stomach so she can get into position she wants which usually ends up with her sleeping on her stomach last night it was 2 spoons rice at 7ish and a bottle at 8.30 she fell asleep at 9 ish on her tummy heard a whinge at 3 .30 ish went in stuck in bottle o f water and she went straight back to sleep til 5.30 where she again drank water at 6.30 I popped in s bottle of milk at I heard her stirring for up an..she slept til 8.45 I'll take this any night. Now if I cud get rid of one of water wakes I wud be laughing lol this has been two nights in a row woo hoo lol.

You might already do this but I found putting a few dummies in the cot helped my ds sleep coz sometimes he was only waking to get his dummy, now he goes to bed with one and once he's asleep I put three more in around the cot

Cleo that's great news! Hope it carries on that way. My DD is in her own room tonight for first time. I miss her so so much! Have found it hard to sleep as worried I'll miss her waking for a feed, hopefully I'll adjust soon.

Thanks for advice re poo ladies!! Reassuring to know its normal.

Got DD weighed yesterday , bit disappointed as she's fallen another centile to the 0.4th at just 11lb 12oz. We have a dietician appointment tomorrow anyway that HV made for me when age was 3 months which I am now kind if glad we have so I can quiz them a but about allergies as I have a nut allergy and am a bit concerned about introducing egg, fish etc. hopefully she'll start to gain some weight soon! Only 3oz in last two weeks which I'm surprised at as she's been breast feeding loads in the hot weather.

How is everyone else doing?

Xx

Morning girls

Net hope you managed to get some sleep, if your dd is crawling could that explain the slower weight gain? My ds weight certainly slowed down after 6 months as well so please try not to worry

Net how'd u get on with it first night without dd it's hard isn't it. Hope u are ok I had a wee cry the first few nights. Try not to worry about the weight thing my sister's twins one was only 19 pound at a year old and he is just fine they keep an eye as a precaution it's nothing ur doing wrong . He was a small bab and has a smaller appetite simple as that and if dd is active weight gain slows way down. I'm going to go get Amelia weighed Monday it's been 6 weeks just wanna check has she plateaued cuz she is rolling around flat out and is making every attempt to crawl at minute.

Sasha great minds I put three dummies in there tonight as I sit down to read this .

Nothin to report other than I'm with a few girls we cycled with on facebook so we cud share photos I'd love to share Amelia with u both if u pm I will request friends. First tooth is nearly up excited [zx164]

Hi girls

First night went ok, she slept better than me!! I was really sad yesterday but feel better today. Dietician went well, no concerns and like you guys said she said that its likely she's burning loads of calories as she is so active ( and has also gone on nap strike the past two days - agh !)

Am to get her on high calorie protein ASAP so lots if full fat dairy a d meat etc.

Cleo will pm you my Facebook details, I love sharing baby photos !
