Does clomid count as an ivf cycle on NHS?

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help. I have been approved for 2 ivf cycles on NHS but would like to try clomid first as I have not ovulated in last 3 months. I have an appointment with the consultant at St. Mary's Hospital in mid June and want to ask him if I can be prescribed clomid for a few months before embarking on IVF. My question is would this count as an ivf cycle (i.e. I would then only have 1 ivf go left) or will I still be entitled to 2 ivf treatments if the clomid fails?

thanks
