mycrogynon pill before ivf ?

hi there ladies ive been told to take the pill on day 5 of my period then i have an apointment with nursing team 2 weeks later for injection training for buserilin,, im on long protocol, can anyone tell me if the pill is to down reg me and the buserilin is the stimming drug! this is my first cycle and im geting sooo confused with it all,, im also nhs funded so i dont really get the chance to ask any questions as they are always super busy! any help wil be very much apreciated thanx blowkiss

Hi Kayla,

The buserelin is to down regulate you - the mycrogynon pill is sometimes given to women to control the date of your bleed before starting the down regulation. It helps the clinic plan their workload better and saves you the worry and stress of not getting your period on the right day!

Don't worry, the lingo will all become second nature before long biggrin2
