Hi, JVTN
Does your clinic offer blood tests? The best thing would be to have 2 blood tests (if offered) 48 hours apart to see if the HCG is going up/doubling.
A very good friend of mine had a very, VERY feint second line on her tests till she was about 10 weeks but had really good blood results and went on to have a very healthy little boy which just go to show that not everyone has a clear result on a HPT.

As for the HCG shot - it should be well out of your system by now unless you had a very high dose...

Hi Girls

Im doing OK - Im stopping at my mum and dads tonight as the DH is away working down south .....so me and the dogs will have an evening in front of their wood burner and homecooked tea .....

Im waiting to test on either Wednesday night now - or Thursday morning so get first wee of the day ....that wayDH can be there too ....

I have on off AF type cramps but normally I would have started to spot by now if i was going to come on ....and i havnt yet so Im hoping thats a good sign. But it could just be that everything has been delayed a little by stress !

Good Luck to those testing in the next few days - there have been quite a few BFP announcements recently so hopefully babydust will stick around for a bit !!

Jtvn - sounds promising, keep us posted!!

Gumpy, good luck tomorrow night!

Lalla, I'm fine thanks, being kept busy at work and one week down today! No symptoms but I don't know that everyone gets them. 5 days until af due, so I should know the weekend, or if nothing happens then it will be a good sign as I'm normally pretty regular.

It would be lovely valentines news!

Keeping positive, but also the realistic fairy is on my shoulder telling me not to think too hard about what might be...

Like you say, lots of bfps at the moment, so hoping the stork stops by my house next Tuesday!!

Good luck and pma to all! X x

Hi Heather,

Glad your 2ww is going okay, I'm due to test on Tuesday but I'm not that hopeful I'll get that far tbh.

Spotty skin and feint pinky discharge are telling be that af might be on her way. I hope not, and that I'm just being super negative, but I don't feel any different to how I have felt the past 2 times.

I'm secretly thinking that if af does come, I wish she makes an appearance before Saturday night so then I can have a good drink when we're out for our valentines meal! I'll be so annoyed if it arrives on the Sunday, which is when I'm due.

Going to go to the cinema tonight to take my mind off things.

How's everyone else getting on? Xx

Wow JTVN :P Congratulations ! You have restored my faith that IUI can work !

My test was a :BFN: but to be honest I wasnt hugely hopeful - this was my first IUI and I didnt repond that well to the clomid . I start again today with baseline scan and will be on injectibles now so hopefully will get some more follies and get a beter stab at it second time round.

Hello girls,

very unexciting news from me I'm afraid.

I've already started the ovulation process, so consultant wanted IUI for Saturday. BUT DH is not home on Saturday, and it's too late to do the injection to postpone ovulation. Best we can do is make love on Sunday night... Sigh.

After five days of stims I have one nice follicle, and 11 mm lining, which looked good. (I have a photo lol). I suppose there's comfort in that.

How are those on the 2ww? It's hard work!

Hello girls,

Sorry to hear your news, Grumpy. I cross my fingers for the next round.

Ailly - I only have a paper photo, but my guess is it looked a lot like yours  . As for the size, I'm not really sure. Around 20 mm? You're right abuot the sexy underwear - or maybe I should greet him stark naked? A bit unsure as to what would be the most efficient.. When are you testing?

Hi Lalla,

Men are late for everything aren't they!?

I'm okay, hoping I make it to test day so I can actually test as have never got that far before!
Had some spotting last night, and my skin is awful like it is normally around this time of the month so I fear af is on here way. She is due tomorrow. I am staying hopeful though... Could be implantation, bleeding, but so close to my period?!

Going out tonight for a meal with dh, so looking forward to that. No bleeding today at all, so I'll be driving and drinking water!

Lalla, u never know, u could get caught naturally, xfingers

Gumpy - sorry to hear that but u sound positive bout giving it another go so thats good.

I'm now into my 2nd week wait. Going to have a nice night in with DH tomorrow night, maybe a curry or something and some candles, but will leave out the wine, lol, just in case. We've been talking bout looking at holidays for something to look forward to whichever way things turn out this next week. if AF arrives then we will have a few months break as will be moving onto IVF, so will need to get away. And if AF doesnt arrive ( xfingers ) then will still be nice to spend some time together. : D

Hi guys,

well i have my scan on Tuesday to see if we are good to go with our insemination this week. Bit weird - feels as though we only just finished the last 2ww and potentially I could be right back on it come wed. It really all is a bit of a roller coaster ride isnt it?

Keeping positive - it helps when you come on here and see someone elses good news.

I have my fingers crossed for all of you on the home straight to testing.

Hi ladies,

That's it for me. Af in full flow, but I will do the test in the morning just for closure.

Hope iui works for all of you, we're going to go back to the cons and assess our options and then take a little break.

We don't have thousands of pounds kicking about so if we decide to proceed with our ttc journey using ds, we'll need to save up some money as we're out of nhs funded cycles now.

It's such a cruel world, I'm devastated.

Good luck ailly for Friday and to all the rest of you xx

Had my scan earlier and I have nothing - just loads of tiny follicles..... I have another 75ml jag to take today and tomorrow then re-scan on thursday. It mystifies me how the treatment that worked one month can go so drastically different the next.. ?(

Ladies don't forget there is a 2WW thread which is for anyone on the 2WW; regardless of how they got there, IUI, IVF or whatever. There is also a 2WW - WHO IS TESTING WHEN? thread. Would you like me to add your test dates to it? If you would just post your date there and I will add you to the first post. It's easier to have all the dates in one place rather than having to look through here for the most recent list.

Best of luck to you all. x

How's things Ailly and Heather? I don't know about the pessaries ( don't have them for IUI at my clinic, don't downreg) might be worth looking on IVF thread about it though as it sounds as though you're on similar medication to IVF?

ok thanks lollygirl - had no more shows and no other sign of AF so far, (apart from my skin other day which seems to have settled) so trying to stay positiive. Hows u?

Ailly, never used the pessaries so unfortunately have no idea of their side effects.

Neha, welcome to the thread. Good luck with your first iui, it is a painless procedure (may be a bit uncomfortable for few seconds). Keep us updated with how your cycle is going.

Ailly and pompom - how u both feeling? good luck with your testing tomorrow.

I dont think i will make test day, as have had quite a big show today so think AF will come soon. Although still not had my usual AF signs, but then my body never does as it should!

good luck to everyone else. xx

Hey, everyone I am new to this thread, just been browsing to find the most up to date site for iui discussion. My hubby and I have done IVF with ICSI in 2006, and now we are on our 4th round of iui. I am 11days into my iui and have my testing February 21. Am very nervous for another disappointment but trying to keep positive. My friend is due the 20th so a day before my testing. Where my other iui's haven't worked and I don't have a clue as to what I am supposed to be experiencing if this did take could I get some advice from others who has had there BFP... This will be our first child if comes out positive. So anyone with experience of being pregnant it would be greatly appreciated if I could get a little more info on what I should be feeling and how soon. Thanks *********BABY DUST********* to everyone!

Brilliant news, Ailly

Candy - welcome to IUI. There is no telling by symptoms what result you are going to get. On my successful cycle I was convinced that I was going to get a negative - I was spotting and had every sign that AF was going to arrive (and everything symptom-wise was exactly the same as my previous BFN cycle) so I was gobsmacked when I got my BFP. In fact I was so convinced that the BFP was a mistake that, even with scans at 6, 8 and 12 weeks, I did not really believe I was pregnant until I could feel my little one move at about 18 or 19 weeks...
