Yup, that's a good AMH score hun, I wouldn't get too worried about it at this stage. Hopefully your consultant will be able to talk it all through with you when you see him /her next.

that is a good AMH score, when mine came back at 17.4 as I am 36 they did query PCOS, but the laproscopy has shown I don't have that. So assuming you don't either, 22 is very good.

oh i dont know much about PCOS?????!!!! i hope not!!! i havent had any tests for it yet anyway! got our appointment at clinic end of month

was actually thinking mayb we would put the whole thing on hold for a year!! as we were only rushing it now because they thought due to my fsh levels my eggs were running out!!! now the AMH came back so good and we have frozen hubbys sperm for yr! we were thinking we would be in a better finacial position in a yr and my son who is 4yrs would be all settled in school by then 2!!!

AMH is reported using two different measurements - pmol/l or ng/ml.

I believe that the ng/ml measurement is mainly used in the US. You need to divide a result by 7.14 to get the ng/ml level and a result of 5 or above is considered as 'normal' on the pmol/l scale...so your result is either 22 pmol/l or 3 ng/ml, it's important to be sure which test was used, I would assume that it was the pmol/l level as most clinics in the UK use that, although not all

There is LOADS of information in this post here, which I hope helps

Hey

You must do what you feel is best for you and your family, a year is not a very long time in the grand scheme of things and if you are happy to wait and be able to carry on without TTC ruling your life then why not.

Personally, I would want to know my consultant's view before making a decision though, if you have an appointment for later this month I would go prepared with some questions, including the possible effect of delaying for a year and see what he/she has to advise on the matter.

Perhaps your levels could be monitored in the meantime to keep an eye on things?

Take time to decide what you really want and make sure you can be as well informed as possible.

:goodluck: to you hun.

Love Gracie

brilliant advise! have a list of questions to take with me and appointment only in 3weeks so not long to wait!! do feel like TTC has taken over my life for last 4yrs or so & a proper break from it would be great before i start treatment!! but going to see what he says!!

thanks again xxxxxxxx

Finally! it's so nice to find someone who going through the same thing as me! my FSH was first found to be high 7 years ago at the age of 23 and was most recently around 19 when tested.. last consultation i was offered an AMH test which came back "good" at around 20 but unfortunately hubby has poor sperm motility-something we hadn't even considered til now! after all how unlucky can one couple get!! currently waiting "nervously" for my next consultation to find out where we go from here..
