Just been told i have natural killer cells after 18 miscarriages

For 13 yrs i have been told all is unexplained, i have had 10 missed miscarriages, blighted ovums, molar pregnancys, chemical pregnancys, been treated with fragmin asprin and the last pg with steriods but found out i had dibeats which can cause a miscarriage as well, I decided to have the chicago level 2 tests and got the results today, I have Natural Killer Cells
Cd19 and CD 5 our abnormal and high, 13.2 and the norm is 5/10 the nurse said that being high in the non pregnant state means that when a embryo is there then these are gonna go higher.

So she said the dr recommends steriods, now i was on steriods with last pg but they never worked but could be down to the fact i had dibeteas , i told the nurse this and she said she will tell the dr and have him ring me back, she also said i need to start them before i am pregnant and i only took them last pregnancy as soon as i got my bfp, She also said that she will test me for the nk when i am pg and if they have gone really high they will give me ivig, but they dont recommend giving me ivig before pg.

I just cant belive that i finally HAVE a answer, i had the nk womb biopsy yrs ago and it was normal 1% so i never thought i would have nk cells and i do eeeeeek
sorry for the full on excitement its just being told a answer for my losses its got me on a high,

Tinks

What relief you must feel to finally have an answer. The heartache that comes with 18 losses is something I cannot even begin to imagine. Enjoy the races today. x

ttc since July 06. 8 cycles of clomid. BFP on cycle 5 (Dec 07) ended in m/c at 9.5 weeks. Second BFP on cycle 8 (May 08)

As everyone else says I wouldn't know where to start imagining the pain you've been through with 18 losses and no explaination but it is fantastic that you now have an answer. Now you know what the problem is you can start appropriate treatment and get your longed for baby. Good luck!

Thanks for your posts girls [zx127] My losses has brought so much heartache and also made me more determent to be a mummy, being told nothing was wrong brough so much heartache, because i would continue to get pregnant hoping for everything to be ok that next time round, being told the answer for all my losses is just amazing, and sad as me and dh reflected on the past and dh was saying all them babies  If only we would of had the tests yrs ago i would never of gone on to get pregnant and lose this many, but its done now, i cant turn back time i wish i could. Heres hoping there will be no more heartache and just happiness. xfingers I have a diary in the immunes section if anyone wants to follow, [zx127]
