Hey ladies

Hey Laing not long till ur over here xx

Julz - ailly how u both feeling x

Well am still hanging in there, thank u all for your messages of support. My boobs bloody ache today so I am seeing that as a positive and I have lost my appetite with most of my favourite foods and my portions are shrinking cuz I always feel full. Anyone else feel like there's something sitting in their chest? It feels like heartburn but it's not sore, it's like a full feeling? I have awful back ache too so I am clinging onto the hope that this all can't be down to an empty sac. Roll on Monday for massive hcg level

Happy Sunday xxx

hey christine, in first thing at 9am, feel like i should be getting a swipe in card, been there at 9 am for every appointment - sometimes before half the staff! but its good because the waiting area is usually empty and in dumfries everybody knows everybody and i dont want people gossiping before we know whats going on.

oh am so nervous i could puke! will do my best to rest tonight, might have an early night with a dvd - that usually does the trick to get me to the land of nod.

thank you for all your support, i am sorry to hear your going through a bad time just now christine. people can tell you not to worry or forget about it but you probably cant get it out of your head, the truth will come out in the end hun and your work will see that theres no evidence to this acusation, they have to investigate all claims but its still not fair you have to go through this xxx :cuddle

Thanks girls it's no looking good - still no sign of baby, they think it's a blIghted ovum. Back on Monday for a scan and if still no sign we will look at our options to remove the empty sac. I have given up all hope now, this uncertainity is killing me.

Sorry it's not better news x

Wee Yins wee ones have finally arrived 22/02/11

Hi Girls,
Well, I havent fallen off the face of the earth, and I honestly log into FZ every day......but thats about as far as I ever get! :snigger:

Anyhoo, as you are all aware (Thanks Confused [zx127] ), our little girls are here!

I'll try not to go on to much, but I know how some of you love a good birth story...............................

So.....Went in on Monday 21st for pessary induction at 4pm, and by 9pm my contractions were well and truly underway. OUCH isnt the word btw. When the nurse came to examine me at 10pm, my waters broke shortly after that. I was only still 1cm dilated, but was havin full blown contractions. So that night DH was sent home, and I was injected with Diamorphine which completely knocked me out.
Next morning I was woken with a knock on the door from the midwife telling me to 'pack up-were off to the labour suite'!!!!! :faint: I was then popped on a hormone drip to try and move things along, as the girls were still too comfy in there and I was still only 1cm. By noon, I had opted for an epidural as things were starting to get heavy. The epidural was mega, didnt feel a thing after that and just sat and chatted with DH and midwife for the next 8 hours.
So by 8pm, I was examined again and was only 4 possibly 5cm dilated. It was at this point that the choice of delivery was then outwith my control. Because I had had so many drugs, and the girls werent for movin, I was basically told I was goin for an emergency c section. I was sorta gutted, as I was adament I wanted a natural delivery.

So, I was quickly whisked away into theatre, shaking like a leaf. DH was a quivering wreck too.

And at 20.52 Abbie came into this world weighing 6lb 2oz, followed a minute later by her wee sister Eilidh weighing 5lb 10oz. Abbie has lots of dark hair and Eilidh is very fair.

Unfortunatley for me, I took very unwell during and after the section, I lost 2 litres of blood, and had to be kept in recovery room overnight, on 15 minute observations! My oxygen levels had completely droppped and my blood pressure was thru the roof. I dont know what happened to me,I think it just all got too much for me and I got myself in such a state about everything!

My girls are just adorable, I just sit here looking at them sometimes in complete amazement.
DH went back to work yesterday, and I wont lie, its really hard work. Im trying to have wee cat naps here and there when they are sleeping.

So thats my story :)
The girls are sound asleep still, so I'll hopefully get round to doin a lot of reading on here, I know Ive got loads to catch up on.

Thanks girls for all your kind messages on here and on FB, you are all truly wonderful grouphug

Julz - hows u ? whats your chat ?

Confused - You know how I feel for you and Im always thinking about you. :hugs: :xxx3:

I had a scare today has a woosh of brown dischard and freeked out and it happened once more. I phoned GRI and they told me to come up for a 7 week scan. Luckly DH had finished work and we went together. I saw an Asian doc who scanned me it took her ages to speak and I asked is there anything there ! I was nervous wreck and she showed me 1 lil tiny baba 8.3mm big. So Im going to docs on Mon to get referred. I also told my family tonight.

Anyone reading from the other thread I have not forgotten you all I just needed time out until my scan. I will be back soon to support u all. blowkiss

Hi ladies,

Sorry I've been awol - things have just been super busy and I have been super tired and just lots going on at the moment. Things are going well. Just very tired as I said and getting quite sore back if I'm moving around for too long. Tried an aquanatal class last friday cause I was off work and it was really good. Felt so light! But then when I got out of the pool I felt twice as heavy!! Finish work 5 wks on Thursday and can't wait! Really feel like need to start getting ready for things but just not had the time to get anything yet. DH is working away on the cots and nearly finished the first one.

Confused - thinking of you, how are you doing, has there been any update?

Ailly - Sorry you got a scare but glad that everything was ok. Hope it all continues to go well.

Weeyin - how are you managing with the little ladies?!? All going ok? I'm making my way through Gina Ford at the moment looking for any tips ;) Are you BF or bottles? Hope all is going well!

Hi to everyone hope you are all ok!

Hi Julz

Its getting lonley on here really hope the other girlies make it on here soon.

Wow not long until u finish work how exciting 9 months off. Where was your aquanatal class Bellahouston ? I bet our paths have crossed. Iv cut my fitness classes down to 2 a week and taken it right down. Iv also swapped the jogging for walking. I go to Nethercraigs corkerhill. Your in the Southern ?? Im waiting on my letter for my 1st appointment. How long is the appointment ? does my DH go as well ? do you get books and info ? sorry for all the questions. Iv booked a private 10 week scan on the 30th Mar at the GCRM for peace of mind.
My stomach is huge but i have been eating loads so hungry all the time no sickness yet. Sore boobies lol. Hope the cots are finished xx

Julz - Yep the girls are defo keeping me very busy, they are very demanding and want cuddled constantly! I have 1 in my arms at the moment so having to type this with 1 hand lol.

I am bottle feeding, gawd knows how anyone finds the time or the energy to BF twins! They are fed every 4 hours, and we try to feed one then the other so that they are not awake and screaming at the same time. Cos DH is back at work now I try to feed one first then the other when Im doin the feeds on my own! Only thing is the amount of bottles to get sterilised every day, It feels like the microwave and kettle are always on!!!

Cant believe your finishing work soon, your babies will be here before you know it! When you go in maternity leave thats when reality really kicks in. Hope DH got the cots built up? Have you bought all your big stuff yet - car seats/buggy etc.

Ailly - How u feeling chick? Im sure the Southern operates on the same sorta system as the GRI, so I would take DH along to the appointments. It makes them feel part of things and more involved I think. He may get a bit bored as obviously the appointment is all about you :) but theres plenty of questions to be answered and lots of info to take in.
Some mums dont get any sickness and some get loads, but dont worry if you dont get any cos thats a bonus!! I only had it a few days, prob about the 10week mark, and then again at 38weeks but apart from that nothing else :)

Keep smiling,
Wee Yin xxxx

Ailly I hope all goes well for your scan tomorrow. It will be great to see your lo again. It will be so different from your last scan. Then only a few more weeks and then another scan. You'll have loads of pictures of your lo before it's born how cool is that. Julz not long now till you stop work. Hope that all is going well with you. Weeyin glad to see you are managing well. Motherhood is the best but also the most difficult job in the world. It does get easier with time I promise.
Well girls I'll not be joining you over here. Our last cycle has just finished with a BFN. That was our last chance so we are now putting all our energy in to being good parents to Adam.
Good luck to you all. I'll keep a look out to see how you are all getting on.

Christine xx

Keep happy and healthy xxx

Hi ladies,

Sorry I haven't been on in ages, things have just been so hectic. Since the break in I have been using my old laptop and it is just so slow and annoying I got fed up trying to get it to work. The charging cable is broken so it was hit or miss as to whether it would charge or shut down on me. Most evenings I have just been resting up too cause have been so tired and sore. We had a bit of a blip at the weekend when T2 hadn't moved all day so ended up with a trip to the hospital. After half an hour on the trace they still couldn't locate T2's hb. So they had to open the us bit and get a dr to scan me. The little monkey was there with a perfect hb and wriggling away, even though I couldn't feel it. But then had to go back on the trace for while and cause it was moving so much so had to wait for ages for it to settle and get a consistant reading. So it was about midnight when we finally got home. But the main thing is that they are both ok! And that's all that matters. I am trying to get things ready cause general day to day things are getting more difficult. Oh and the babies were measuring 2wks ahead so now I'm being tested for gestational diabetes as well!

Christine - I'm so sorry it was a BFN. But remember that you have Adam and he is a little star and you both have so much love to give him ;)

Ailly - hope your scan went well today at the GCRM and that you are doing well apart from the tiredness ;)

Weeyin - how's it going?

Hope everyone else is well!

Jxx

Ah Julz there u are. Sound like u had a scary time so glad everything was ok in the end. And your measuring 2 weeks ahead u been on the red bull or something ? Thats great better than being behind is that quite common or are they concerned ?

My scan was great it was amazing to see LO is grown so much well not really. I saw the heatbeat, such a relieve we were in for about half an hour. The sonographer said I had a large cyst on my ovarie and took measurments to compare with next scan on he 19th , shes also the sonog in the Southern too. It wont affect LO but now I wondering how they get rid of it. Any ideas ?

Think the whole world know im preggers now. x

Ailly, I'm glad your scan went well and gave you some more positivity. It's amazing to when you see them grow, it makes you so proud,x :hugs:

Julz, Hope you are well and not feeling too tired. when do you stop work now? x

Weeyin, Hope all is going well with your beautiful little girls and that you are managing to get into a kind of loos routine. I know routines change but I remember my brother and SIL when the twin boys came along, they had to work to a military timetable almost to fit everything in and they were exhausted. I hope you are all ok,x

Hello there!

Oh I am definitely enjoying mat leave! But have been pretty busy. Since DH has been off for the two long weekends we are trying to use them to get everything ready. He is currently trying to build cot no 2 and no 1 is still to be painted. But we now have our buggy, moses baskets, car seats, changing unit, room decorated clothes put away, bedding and towels washed. Dad in the kitchen cooking up enough meals to freeze for the next 6 months! So not doing too bad. A few more things to get but we are definitely getting there. And this weather has been great too!

I am getting pretty sore and can't do much at the moment but still in good spirits! It's nice to be able to have a mid morning and afternoon naps! Docs seem happy with how everything is going and we are on track so far for a vaginal delivery as long as monkey no 1 stays put. No 2 is anyone's bet what it's gonna do! We have done the hospital twins classes, seen the labour suites, seen the SCBU, getting nursing bras fitted on Tues. Mum is cleaning the kitchen cupboards and potting all the plants for me.

It's all a bit hectic at the moment but all in the vain hope that it gets done now and then we won't need to do it over the next 5 wks. Fingers crossed they stay in for another 5 wks!

I haven't been on for ages - how is everyone doing? Hope all bumps are doing well!

Weeyin - how are the girls doing?

Hello hon!

Don't worry, I am taking all the help I can get! Had my poor mum washing kitchen cupboards for me! And Dh is being great and not letting me do anything! Dropped him at work this morning and it was so nice to come home, plop myself of the sofa and fall asleep til lunchtime! Tried to get out to get my hair cut but couldn't get an appt so arranged one for Thurs instead. My blackout curtain linings arrived so need to sort attaching that to our curtains and then just need DH to finish the cots and get our new car and we are good to go! Scary! Can't believe I only have 4 and a bit wks left. Where has the time gone!

I can't believe the girls are 11 wks already too! Hope you are managing to get some rest!! Can I ask, are they sleeping in one cot together? I just feel like these two are never going to come out and I'm gonna be pg forever!! But equally want them to stay in another 4 wks at least ;)

Ailly - hope you are doing well! Let us know how you are!!!

Hoping to see some of the other ladies jumping on here soon too! Sounds like there is a lot going on tx wise so hope that there will be some good news soon!! Keeping everything crossed!!

Julz - the girls are in separate Moses baskets at the mo, but we are hoping to move them into the same cot in a couple of weeks as they are getting to big now for the baskets. Not sure how they are going to get on, as were not wanting to fork out for another cot!! I have been putting them in their cot together for their afternoon nap, some days their fine and some days their not!!!!

Keep those bubbas in there as long as you can, you want them to be fully cooked after all. Seen a couple of girls in the hospital who's twinnies were early and in the SCBU, and they looked so lost without them. Makes you realise how lucky we are.

Anyhoo, glad your well chick xxxx

Hey,

I think what we are going to do is to keep the moses baskets downstairs so they can nap there during the day and then put them in the cot together in our room. That is if DH finishes the cots ;) (he's building them from scratch). One is just about done, rails just need a second coat of paint and to be assembled. And then the second one is still to be built :) Eek, running out of time, but am sure he'll get them done, and if not I reckon as soon as he gets kicked out of the hospital he will be pulling all nighters to get them done.

Otherwise we are just about there. Carry cots for the buggy just arrived on Monday so they have all be assembled and ready to go. Only thing really left to do is a bit of a tidy up, black out lining to be attached to curtains (hoping to tackle that today), need to go and book a wax and get that area sorted before anyone can be down there ;) oh and still need to sort getting a new car which I am hoping will happen soon! They we can put all the bags in the car, isofix bases and car seats in and we will be good to go.

I hit 35 wks tomorrow so that is good. Still trying to keep them in but just happy to make it another week. I'll be really happy if we make it to 36 wks. We had a scan last Fri and T1 had gone from being in the 95% to the 50% which is fine cause that's still normal but has obviously slowed down in growing. So they just want to keep an eye on it and am back on Friday for another scan to see how it's doing. They didn't seem worried about it, guess a bit worried that they will say on Friday better to get them out. But what needs to be will be. I know that they are big and strong now and have a very good chance of everything being ok. But hopefully they can stay in a couple more weeks.

We had a tour of the SCBU and you just wanted to go and cuddle the little babies. But know what to expect now we've seen it and DH actually does a lot of work at our hospital's SCBU so he knows a lot of the staff and the dept. And his colleague is a consultant neo-natal pead, so they are going to keep an eye out for my name so they can check in if they have to go there which is nice.

Ailly - are you still there? Is everything ok?

Right, need to go and do a bit of cleaning!

Jxx
