Bleeding 13 days after transfer

Hi everyone
It's my first time on here & i just wanted a chat with people who may be goin thru the same thing.
My husband & i have just completed our 1st ICSI cycle. Responded really well to everything and had transfer 13 days ago
On Sunday started spotting dark brown blood, yeserday the same but was like a pinky red with period like pain & today still bleeding. ;(
I feel so confused. Does any one know if this is normal or is it a bad sign? Am so anxious because i miscarried 18mth ago.
Clinic have said just to rest, keep taking medication and do test when we been told to.
This is the longest wait of my life.

Thanks for reading.

Hi Sarah, a big welcome to :FZ:

I don't envy you at the point you're at in your 2ww - the end bit is so hard. Just to reassure you that there is still hope - some ladies do exprience period pain and some bleeding and still get a positive test result, so the only way to know for sure is to do the test on the day the clinic advised. Try and hang on in there :hugs:

I hope you like it on here, we have very friendly and supportive members that are sure to make your TTC journey that little bit easier, I hope you feel right at home with us all soon.

Here are some links that you may find useful.

There is an abbreviations section HERE so you know what we're all going on about.

There is a ** GETTING STARTED - FZ FACTS, TIPS & HELP ** thread HERE this contains everything you need to know about getting started on FZ and a few guidelines too.

There is a ** NEW TO THE SITE? A BIT LOST? POST FOR HELP HERE!!! ** thread HERE where you can post any questions you have about how to use the site, a team member will answer you as soon as possible!

There is a how to search thread HERE so you can get the maximum benefit from the forum.

You may find it useful to pop along to the cycle buddies section HERE so you can get to know others having TX at the same time as you and also the 2WW section HERE and a 2WW CHAT thread HERE so you can compare every twinge and symptom with everyone else and get some moral support.

And finally!! Have you seen that lots of our members have fancy names in their signatures? If you’re interested in having something similar it’s really easy to do. Have a look HERE to choose a style. If there isn't one you like there, let us know the kind of thing you'd like and we'll try and create one for you.

Because the running of the site completely depends on the kindness of our members, we ask for a small donation in return for a sparkly name, which is explained HERE. Hang around a bit and get to know us before you decide if you'd like to support us!

If you have any questions about anything, just ask.

Wishing you all the luck in the world :xxx3:

RE: Bleeding 13 days after transfer

Hi Sazjay,

I'm sorry you have been having these symptoms and I know how it can be a terrible worry.

You say you have had spotting since Sunday with period type pains.

Just to say, during our last lot of treatment there, on day 13 post transfer, I had brown spotting with cramps and some further spotting the next day too and everything was fine as you will be able to see from my ticker below.

When are you testing? Hopefully it won't be too much longer for you to wait.

RE: Bleeding 13 days after transfer

Hi Lisa
Thank you for taking the time to reply.
I have to do the test this Friday but it feels like the longest wait ever.
The bleeding has slowed down a little and had no pains today. Had 2 days off work but back tomorrow because it driving me crazy just sat around thinking.

Congratulations by the way to yourself.

Thanks Sarah xx

Hi Sarah,
Welcome to the FZ.
The end of the 2WW is the absolute worst, I wish I could magic the time away to Friday. I hope the bleeding stops and you get a lovely result on your test day.

Ah thanks Lisa. That's really nice of you
Thankfully all stopped now. Not really lost anything today. Felt really tired last couple of days and have been sleeping like a baby.
So glad Friday nearly here. At least the horrible wait will be over.
Will let you know the outcome.

Thanks again.

Hi everyone
Just letting you all know it wasn't meant to be. :bawl:I have been like a zombie all day.
I just can't understand what i did wrong. ?( Everything went so well and the embryos were grade 1 & 2???
I am blaming myself because up until they were put inside me thing were going well so i feel i'm to blame. My DH has been fab and so supportive but i keep saying sorry to him.
Don't think i can cry anymore tears today.
Thank you to you all for your concern

I'm so sorry, Sarah,

It is an awful feeling and I remember it well from last year.
You have done nothing wrong - none of us do. In fact, all we do is try our best and sometimes it just doesn't work at that time.
What you need to do now is to take plenty of time to make sense of everything that has happened and be kind to yourselves.
You need this time and so you will be ready for your next step, whatever you both decide.
Take care and if you need to chat, just PM me at anytime, xxxx
