Out of area blood tests on holidays?

It looks like we'll be on holiday at the time my next CD23ish blood tests are needed (I'm hoping to get the scan in before we go). Does anyone know if it is possible to get blood taken in a different NHS area? We will be in the Lake District, and while we will drive back south for the day if we have to, I'd prefer to just go to a local surgery and have the blood taken there if possible.

I'll ask the consultant when I next see her, but was wondering if anyone knows if this can be done? I suspect the answer will be no - the PCTs seem to be very territorial and tend not to want to do anything if you aren't registered in their area!

Hello,

I had CD 21 bloods done in a different PCT. Called up and registered and then told them the situation and took my blood form in with me when I had my bloods. They sent the results to my cons. The secretary called them up and chased them for me and everything.
