No sperm after 2 semen tests, please advise on best specialist in London

Dear All,

Hi! I am new to this forum and I am very happy that it exists. I am sure it helps sooo many people with their infertility issues. Well done!!!

I am happily married and my husband always wanted to have children so much, so I got very excited about having a baby soon and we started to TTC, but after almost a year nothing happened.

So we've done the tests and got azoospermia diagnosis. Ok... Very very difficult to accept it for us, but we have decided to do everything possible to find out the reasons and to find a way to have OUR child.

There are so many private clinics in London and so many different doctors, I am totally lost of where to start.

Please, share your best doctors experience with us. I really don't want to spend a fortune and to get nowhere only because of incompetent person out there.

I will greatly appreciate your advice!!!

Looking forward to your replies,

Hello,

My DH has been diagnosed with azoospermia. We are on the NHS and have just seen Mr Ramsey at Hammersmith Hospital. I've heard good things about Hammersmith and Mr Ramsey, and so far we've been impressed. Why not google his name.

Good luck x

I feel very sorry for you but don't lose hope

I found this out a couple of years ago and it was a complete shock to me and very upsetting. This is what I did

I got a fertility place to do a PESA. Basically they put a needle into the testes to see if they are making sperm and therefore it is a blockage. Luckily it showed that there were good quality sperm and therefore I must have had a blockage.

I ended up seeing Mr Ralph at St Peters andrology. He was very good and one of the top specialists apparently. Luckily my insurance covered it. He did a operation which resolved my blockage. I now have good sperm quaility.

Dear Tarzan,

Thank you for your support!

I am very happy to know that your situation had such a positive resolution! Could you tell me a bit more what was the reason for your blockage and how common it is? If you prefer you can on my email oliakh@yahoo.com

I will defininetely check out the center you have been to, now we are just starting all the tests, but it is already clear that my DH has a blockage as well. We are talking to Mr. nargund in Create Helth Clinic, will see what his further suggestions will be.

Have a great week,
Olia

Hi .. My DH has Azoo and the result was zero sperm. We too are at the beginning like you kangolka and adament that no 'know it all -nothing' doesn't ruin our chances and mess with our emotions while charging the earth.
If we were listening to our cons (which i had to today) he said that its not likely there is a blockage as there is zero sperm, i swear if it wasn't for this site I would have gave up the first time he said it.

So I just really wanted to wish you luck :goodluck:
