How long will I have to wait for donor sperm?

Hi everyone

I recently went to Care Manchester. I was hoping to start ISCI.
However the doctors won't preform SSR on my DP because he suffered a stroke a few years ago. They suggested that I should have IUI with donor sperm, but what with the shortage of sperm I was woundering how long will I have to wait?

I want it NOW NOW NOW [zx151]

On the good side IUI is a lot cheaper than SSR and ISCI :snigger:

hi Im at Manchester Fertility services and there was no waiting list for sperm and you normally are offered choice of 2 donor (anon but hair, eye skin colur and height)

I am private patient but dont think that should make adifference as they dont pay donors.

I am looking at Care Manchester if I have to go to IVF as its sucess rates seem better than MFS.

Hope this helps - all the best and good luck

RE: How long will I have to wait for donor sperm?

Hiya,
Myself and my husband will be starting IUI with donar sperm this month and we didnt have to wait for a donar. they said the embriologist would pick the donar against our features.
were trying it for 3cycles and if that fails well be doing IVF but luckily we dont have to pay for the IUI. on the positive side its 1less thing to worry about
good luck for the future

xx

Hi
Im NHS funded and we were going to be having a donor back up for my ICSI cycle, we had no wait at all.
They found u 2 matches, and left it to us to choose which on we wanted to use.
