negative pregnancy tests but pregnant?

Got a question for a girl at work....

She is on the pill but is now 3 weeks 3 days late on her period. She has done 3 pregnancy tests all coming up negative, but is never late on her period..

Doctor has sent urine sample off to the hospital but she has got to wait til end of the week for results.

What are the chances of her been pregnant?

RE: negative pregnancy tests but pregnant?

Hi Shell

If she wasn't testing early and by the sounds of it she isn't then I would say she probably isn't pregnant. Lots of women can be regular and then all of a sudden have an unusual period or it be late. Plus the fact that she is on the pill, it is not a "proper" period only a withdrawal bleed from not taking them. It could be a hormone issue...it's good she has had her urine tested so that they can confirm.

Sorry to sound boring but I agree with you both.

But you can never be sure - so following her up is important.
