1 egg is all it takes !

I just wanted to say to anyone going thru treatment that one egg is all it takes !. Last year I had treatment and only had 1 ovary working which subsequently only produced one egg. I felt so deflated and thought that was it until my wonderful clinic told me it did fertilise and did a two day transfer. All the odds were against me but i did fall pregnant and get my dream come true and just wanted to say to anyone else going thru ivf have hope and stay positive and one egg is all it takes xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

collection and fertilisation

Hello everyone,

This is my first post!

I had egg collection on Monday (27/04/09) and out of 11 eggs only 3 fertilised on Tuesday. This is my first IVF cycle and I was really disapointed but after reading the posts on here i feel much better. They have told me that all three eggs are grade 2 (at 4 cell stage) is this ok?

I have the transfer tomorrow. feeling hormonal, bloated and nervous

Thank you so much for that boost Mogwai. xx
I only have one ovary and didn't respond terribly well, was left with just one little egg fertilised - this was transfered on Monday and am praying for the same outcome. Thank you so much for sharing. xx

I am so glad that I read this post as I had egg collection yesterday and today the embryologist called to say that only one had fertilised out of 8 ;(
I feel devastated but now I am a bit more hopeful after reading this...
