Royal jelly

How on earth do you all stand to drink that stuff?

I purchase the royal jelly alone with all the bee pollen and etc in it and darn it tastes AWFUL. Do you have to use lukewarm water with it or can I use something different?

Thanks

Hi Slyfoxy

I've taken royal jelly before but I've never drunk it. I used to take it with honey and even that made me feel sick!

I've no idea if you can take it in something other than water, but if its that horrible I'd try putting it in something different.

Sorry that probably doesn't help you much.

Got another question

I had posted on another part of board and it seems to be wrogn place or something.

So I will ask another question to anyone who wants to answer here.

Can I take my royal jelly, bee pollen,Propolis in Honey with Maca?

I ordered me some of the Maca that is a powder for smoothies.

I finally found a great way to take my royal jelly, bee pollen,Propolis in Honey without it tasteing awful. I now use ruby red grapefruit juice. It still has a taste but not as bad as was with just plain lukewarm water. I take still plain lukewarm water along with adding some grapefruit juice in it. Not bad at all now. Just now get good results from RE or whoever we see in Jan.

Got my DH taking Maca pills along with all types of other stuff to help improve his sperm count, mobitly and etc.. I can say the Maca pills and other things seem to be helping some because his sex drive has came up some. Was having to wait for 4 to 5 days before have fun now it is every two days have fun. Hope that doesn't sound dirty. If does please forgive me.

I may get laughed at by this but a long while back I purchase a Micra Home Sperm Test for home to see if can see how many swimmers and could measure how much semen I guess you would say when he first would go in a cup at first it was almost 1ML at times but now it seems to have came up to almost 2 ML with that little dropper thing I measure his semen. Gosh I hope this doesn't sound dirty on here. Trying to explain what we are doing to improve things. In ways it a little hard to explain so hopefully you all understand what I'm saying.

He is what all I have him taking along with his meds for type 2 ditebics.
Naturals Vitamin E 400 IU twice a day
Vitamin C-1000 with Rose Hips twice a day
Co-Enzyme Q-10 30 Mg twice a day
Light Performance Energy Multivitamin for Men twice a day
Naturals Panax Ginseng 648 Mg twice a day
Maca Root three times a day.

He is doing whatever he can to help improve his sperm count and etc in hopes to have another child soon.

Guess we sound like we are doing over killl but he has said it is making him feel a lot better along with other things.

I'm not sure on that one. If I were you I'd phone up a herbalist and ask just to be safe.

I'm glad the Maca pills are working for your DH!!

Good luck hun and I hope its not long until you get your BFP!!

Royal Jelly

Hello Ladies

Have been looking at several vitamins that are good and safe for taking throughout TX and of course have benefits... im egg sharing and would like to work on getting good quality eggs etc and several people have mentioned Royal Jelly.

Has anybody used this?

Did you find the results were good, noticeable?

Can you take it the whole way through TX?

I have 2 months untill my TX begins, is it best to start taking it now?

Im already on folic acid but wont to give myself the best possible chance :)

Thanks in advance

Yes I have read too about royal jelly and how it is meant to improve egg quality. I have been taking it from Holland and Barrett for about a month now. I don't know if it is doing anything as I'm between treatments at the moment but after this long I'm willing to give everything a go!!

Good luck!

Hi FC79 the royal jelly is good to take b4 tx as it is good for your eggs, i cant explain in detail but if you google royal jelly before IVF then it will explain. I am taking mine from tomorrow and i start tx mid march, i decided to take 500mg capsuls twice a day until the end Feb then for the 1st 2 weeks in march until i start gonal f i will take 3 a day, as like champagne said it will do more good then harm.. Im not sure if it can be taken during tx, thats a question i need to ask too.

Royal jelly helps egg quality as they are maturing apparently. I have been taking one a day (however I sometimes forget!) for the last month. I am waiting for af to arrive hopefully this weekend so I can request tx. Then ill up it to two and then 3 when im stim.

Royal Jelly?

Hi,

I have been googling this afternoon and have found a website suggesting that Royal Jelly is supposed to be good for fertility?

Is this right and if so, is it ok to take when having ICSI?

I'm not starting tx until October, so thought maybe i could take it up until then?

I am already taking multi vitamins and folic acid everyday.

Has anyone got any info. about it?

Thanks

Royal Jelly???

My husband has ordered us some Royal Jelly caps after doing some 'reseach' on the net and being convinced they can help fertility in both men and women ?

Has anyone used this before? heard much about it?

We are about to start next cycle in the next couple of weeks (currently on pill for 21 days to help control af and then start the injections straight away)

Many thanks

Hi,

I have been taking Royal Jelly tablets from Holland and Barrett (1000mg a day) since January, and i have noticed that my periods have become heavier than they used to be. My period still lasts for the same amount of days, but the blood flow is heavier.

Do you think this is to do with the royal jelly and increasing my egg quality?

Any advice would be good!

Thanks :)

A heavier AFprobably wouldn't indicate a change in egg quality but it could indicate that the Royal Jelly has increased hormone production resulting in a thicker womb lining so there is more coming out each AF. A thicker lining gives your embies a nice warm bed to snuggle in so it's all good.

I have resserected this as I took RJ & found it very beneficial to my cycle.
I was put on SP which also helped with my egg numbers & quality.
I also had amazing skin while I was on it.
I have to say I do attribute it to one factor among many for my BFP.
Obviously talk it over with your RE or GP before taking it & you cant take it if your allergic to bees of course.

Hi Hon

I thank RJ for my BFP hon. I took 2 a day (morn and eve) for a couple of months prior to treatment. I then upped to 3 a day during stims. I stopped taking them on day of Egg Collection & havent taken them since. I dont think they are reccomended for pregnancy. They aid egg quality & I would defo reccomended them. I would however discuss with your doctor before taking them.

I am really heading in the direction of taking RJ as I have heard so many good things about it, does anyone know if you can start taking anytime as I am in between treatment and will probably not be starting treatment for another good few months to 6 months time. will it do any harm to start now? x x
