Donors in Scotland

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if theres is a shortage in sperm donars?

This is going to be our next step at having children.

We are due for a following up app in jan after getting a bfn last week, but ive since read that there is major shortage and only 1 clinic has donars in scotland but i dont know if it is my clinic until i go for the app.

If it isnt my clinic can the sperm be transported if for example we have a match in england/wales. Am now starting to stress as i thought every clinic would have a supply.

Please help put my mind at rest

Hi Soney,

Welcome to FZ

What clinic are you at Hun?

The Nuffield in Scotland has its own supply of donors and a sperm bank available, they have a group of regular donors too :D.
I am not sure about the GCRM or the NHS hospitals??

Good luck with your journey

RE: Donors in Scotland

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.
Am currently at Dundee so would that mean I could still have my treatment at Dundee and the sperm sent up from the Nuffield if they had a match?

xx
