Half of the medications mentioned on here I've never heard of - I've not done any sniffing or anything - only went for the gonal-f injections, which I didn't notice any side effects for.

It has been very quiet on here recently though!

Hi everyone,

I've just started my first IUI and can't wait for the insemination! I've had one scan, got another on Monday. So far no bad effects from the clomid/ progynova. I know I'm going to be a nightmare on the 2ww

Hello Everyone..Happy Late Turkey Day!
I am a litte upset today AF arrived. I had a really bad month the day of my 2nd IUI my Kitty died suddenly, he was only 2 years old:( I m wondering if the stress of that happening made the IUI not work, I am waiting for my DR to call me back to ask her. So I guess I am back to the start.
Have a great day ladies

I'm back

While you've been all freezing your little tootsies off I went away to stop being miserable about yet another failed treatment and I am so glad to be back and seeing you all busy with your burselins (and progynova sounds like a Russian Ballet dancer - is it progestrone ? what does it do while you are on clomid? mmmmmm mmm?)
Indie - how are the twins ? I'll pop into your diary soon, soon, soon.
Kris - check PM
Charlie - your weekend is not over - isn't it still Sunday or have I just lost track of the day it is when 'cos I stopped minding every minute while I was on the 2WW?
Esha - those hot flushes sound like they come in very handy with the freezing weather you're having. Increase dosage and you could cut down your electricity bill?
2mums - great name - lovely to meet you and :goodluck: with your treatment.
Polyisa - what have you been up to? You are not missing anything by missing out on the wide and wonderful range of side effects you get from the drugs. I've had lots of 'em although the russian dancer was not amongst them- I'm happy I'm off the emotional merry go round they twirled me round!

Since Esha is busy finding inspirational quotes for us all - I thought I'd offer the men in your life a quote for today .

"Whatever you give a woman, she will make greater. If you give her sperm, she'll give you a baby. If you give her a house, she'll give you a home. If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal. If you give her a smile, she'll give you her heart. She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her.
So, if you give her any crap, be ready to receive a ton of shit. " :snigger:

Super Charlie - I'm in much better form and I'm going home to my DH very soon so I'm delighted. Absence truly makes the heart grow fonder. The pair of us are like little lovebirds over the wire.
I can't PM kris so Dear Kris, I'm really sorry that the treatment didn't work this time and I'm sure you must be very low right now. I'm a mad animal lover and I don't know what your doc said but I think that your stress at your kittycat's demise probably didn't effect the treatment. It would be a pity if that were so. I just thought to mention that I've been to warzones where women get pregnant in the worst possible conditions and I know a very busy business woman who worked 16 hours a day who got pregnant and she was firing some of her closest colleagues at the time. hers is not an isolated case. Sometimes there is no explanation other than it is not the right time and I think that there is always a reason even if we can't see it. I hope you will feel better soon and strong enough to go back to treatment. I can't purr but I'm here and you can always PM me if you want to talk a bit more.
Lots of hugs and as much courage and strength as you can muster.
Cherry c

Hi everyone.

Kris, sorry to hear about your cat, I hope you're feeling a little better about things. I can sympathise - I've recently found out one of my dogs has cancer, she's had two operations, it's a worrying time.

Welshdresser - I'm rubbish with jokes but hopefully some cheesy xmas music will do the trick for you

I had my second scan today, my biggest follie is now 13mm - HURRY UP AND GROW!!! My cycles tend to be long (35 days) and irregular, so I'm not really surprised things are taking their time. At least the progynova seems to be doing its job. I'm so impatient, I just can't wait for the insemination. got another scan Monday...

Sometimes these follicles just don't want to grow quickly - I know mine seemed to take forever to get to a decent size - but they do get there (eventually)

I suppose they're a bit like buses, you wait for ages, then 3 turn up at once! :snigger:

Another quote to top the day girlies. Stay Positive.

"There is no nourishment like happiness - it's an elixir. There is no sickness like sorrow - it's a poison. The experience of true happiness cures the sickness of sorrow. A cheerful face goes a long way towards making everything better!"

I really ought to say that I am fine, and that pregnancy is wonderful - - - - - - - - - - - but I'd be lying!!!

At the moment I have no energy, and have been signed off work for a week, with some blood tests tomorrow to check that all my "levels" are ok - I s'pose I ought to take my meds so that my thyroid isn't too low!!

APart from that, everything is going swimmingly - things are just getting more and more chaotic in the run up to Christmas, but at least I'm not cooking this year - We're off to my Mum & Dad's, so hopefully I'll get spoiled a bit whilst I'm there!

Glad to see you're drinking lots! Keep it up (or should that be down? :snigger:).

Hope everyone else is fit and healthy!!

Hi girls

Aaaargh - want to scream. Need some calm so came here!

Found out about 2 people close to me being pregnant this weekend. First my cousin and his wife are expecting their second and told me in front of about 20 of our family/cousins/grandparetns etc on saturday and I had to act all pleased for them in front of everyone and then my best friend emailed me at work (yes - emailed me at work!) to tell me she's expecting her second too.

I thought I'd always been very good at pretending I was pleased for people when they'd told me they were pregnant, obviously not if my best friend cant even tell me over the phone or face to face. EMAIL - I mean, that was so good to read whilst at work too - NOT!

hmmmmmmmmmmmm - people eh? I'm just dreading the 4th xmas of TTC with no baby and not even being pregnant yet.

(Crikey - how bitter do I sound!?)

On the positive side saw my sister this weekend for the first time in 4 months (we live miles and miles and miles away from eachother) and she's now 8 months pregnant and I was very excited to see her and fondle her bump. I even felt the baby kick which was amazing. Its so wierd to think the next time I see her she'll have my little niece or nephew in her arms. Can't wait to meet him or her.

Hi Girlies.

Why is it so Quiet :shush: in the world of IUI Chitter Chatter.

I think i'll have to start wispering from now on :snigger:

How is everyone ? I'm good.

LaLa ~ Your welcome anytime you want to chat feel free to  away I'm here to listen.

I came back form my hospital appointment i had my basline scan today a nd the nurses told me that i was ready for injecting on Monday my ovaries were good and i ahd a follicle at 12mm whihc hadn't popped from my last cycle and it should be fine. My SIL came with me and it was good that she came, shes going to do my injectins as well as me.

The nurse that showed us how to the injection was :loony: she kept repeating herself because she kept forgetting what she ahd said. Me and SIl kept looking at each other. i think she was on something.

The nurses are really nice at the clinic.

Anyway that's my update. catch you later

pictures! I want puppy pictures! Kris What has he or she destroyed so far? What do you call the little creature ? - your DH has given you a new best friend for the next fifteen years, all dogs want to do is love you. Buy lots of chewy toys and Enjoy!

Lyndsey - I think you are a model of decorum. I'd have throttled my best friend for being so insensitive! Email you with the news!!?? is she on drugs or just too high on happiness to think sensibly? I'm sorry but it made me cross and she's not even my pal! I do empathise though. My family is fertility central- they just pop them our like shelled peas. It seems so blooming unfair when all you see around you are bumps and prams. There is an epidemic of pregnancies where I am. Perhaps I should have drunk the local water instead of the bottled stuff. ?(

Esha - that looks a lot more like you are swilling Guinness than water but whatever it is, I'm glad it is working on the follies .

2mums - I was surprised how well the injections went in the end and I was REALLY squeamish to begin with so don't worry too much. It was the mixing that scared me most - I was always afraid I'd sneeze or drop it or something but that worked out well . Once when I got the heebie jeebies , I went to a local hospital emergency ward and just asked a nurse to do it for me. He was a lovely chap and I'm sure he didn't notice that I was wearing granny bloomers (I still cringe when I think of it! :O)
Polylisa - that sounds a bit miz to be tired all the time but I hope you can rest this week and spoil yourself with good food and books (my preferred time passers :books:). sending you some luuurve lurve
Welshdresser - the only jokes are either xrated or too daft but because I'm Irish and with all due appologies to my fellow country folk, I can tell you this one
"Did you hear about the sad fate of the Irish Bookworm? asks Paddy,
"Ah no"says Mick, "Well," says Paddy "The poor fella was found dead in a brick!":snigger:
right , I'm off to find some aspirin [zx083]

Hey Ladies

How are you all? All is good with me and my twin bump!

Kris - you might not be able to access PM's cos you need 25 posts I think, so keep posting! I am a mad dog lover so fill us in on your puppy!!!

Welshdresser - sorry hun, were you on any progesterone support in the 2ww? I always used to bleed 11 days after Ov but on my last cycle I had gestone to prevent early bleeding and got my BFP!

Lala - so sorry hun, people are so insensitive, sending you hugs! x

Cherry C - nice to see you back you nutter!

Esha - your right the first injection is always the worst, they get easier and easier!

Love to everyone else!

What type of puppy? I've never had a puppy, only full-grown dogs, which are completely mad anyway (but tend not to do the chewing!)

I hope the Monday insem goes well Esha - xfingers for you!

I'm sleeping lots and lots (have only just woken up) and beginning to get some energy back

I hope everyone else is ok, drinking lots of milk and water for various reasons, and enjoying the run up to Xmas!

Hi ladies, how are you all?

Had another scan today, I have 2 follies between 11 and 13mm but they're growing pretty slowly as my cycles are long and irregular (usually at least 30 days but have been as long as 90+ days!). So I guess I just have to wait (not something I'm good at!)

Hey 2mums!

Fab news on the follie front, they'll be nice a juicy before you know it! It's so fustrating waiting for them to go but they will get there in the end . . . .hang on in there!

What day are you on now?

x
