Accupuncture in West Yorkshire?

Hi guys

I’m new to the site so apologies if I have posted this in the wrong area.

I am due to start ICSI in two weeks (hopefully or when period comes?) and have been considering starting Acupuncture with the hope that it might help, this will be my first attempt at ICSI and has been funded by the NHS and being that my PCT only allow one free cycle I want to give it my best shot.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good therapist who specialises in fertility acu I am willing to travel anywhere in the west Yorkshire region.

I have been in touch with three therapists and all of them seem really good and all say they specialise in fertility however I would rather go on personal recommendation.

If anyone could perhaps recommend any one I would be really grateful.

Thanks I’m advance.

Welcome to :FZ: Tracey

Perfect place to post!

I hope you like it on here, we have very friendly and supportive members that are sure to make your TTC journey that little bit easier, I hope you feel right at home with us all soon.

Here are some links that you may find useful.

There is an abbreviations section HERE so you know what we're all going on about.

There is a getting started on fertilityzone thread HERE this contains everything you need to know about getting started on FZ and a few guidelines too.

There is a how to search section HERE so you can get the maximum benefit from the forum.

There is a cycle buddies section HERE so you can get to know others having TX at the same time as you.

If you have any questions about anything, just ask.

Hopefully someone will be along soon who can provide a recommendation. Otherwise it is sometimes worth asking your clinic directly whether there is anyone that they recommend.

Wishing you all the luck in the world with your TTC journey, I hope you get your BFP soon!!

RE: Accupuncture in West Yorkshire?

Hi Tracey

Welcome to :FZ:

I was going to suggest looking at the British Acupuncture Council website but looks like you've already found three probably from there.

There are a few girls here in Yorkshire, I'll have a think and a quick look to see if any of them have had acupuncture and see if I can point anyone over here.

Would you try alternative fertility treatments?

I am a journalist with the Wakefield Express and I am trying to put together a report for the paper's monthly women's magazine (called What Women Want) looking at alternative fertility treatments in the city and surrounding area.
I am planning on approaching some clinics in Wakefield which offer treatments like acupuncture and homeopathy to woman who want to get pregnant, but I also need to speak to some Wakefield women independently of these clinics to get their views and opinions.
If you are from Wakefield and you are trying to get pregnant would you consider talking to me? I would also like to hear from ladies in the area who have conceived after some difficulty, and who tried alternative therapies during that process.
I am looking to get a broad range of views and experiences, so whatever your opinion of alternative therapies and fetrility treatments, please drop me a line.
I want to be able to shed a true light on what's available and if it works, so if you can help I would really appreciate it.
You can phone me on 01977 642214 or e-mail me on

Thanks and best wishes
