Hi Girls,

I have just completed my first ivf, BFN ;(, my AF came on friday and the clinic has let me go straight into a second treatment for FET. I started taking clomid on monday which i have to take for 5 days and thats it as far as i know. Then I go for a scan on wed 20th.

Nothing else was offered or discussed, is anyone else doing this, reading the threads it sounds like everyone else in doing different meds.

Any advice welcome.

Hi

Every clinic is different.

I had to wait for 2 a/f's and started on the second one.

Why have they put you on clomid- do you not ovulate properly? This may be what your clinic does but not heard of this myself.

Good luck.x

Hi there,

thanks for replying,

I did pressure them into letting me do it so soon as i start a new job in September and didnt want to do it then,
I dont know why they put me clomid, i do ovulate so its a bit weird, is there a chance you could conceive naturally as well as having the transfers because of the extra eggs being produced??

I also asked about a natural transfer and they said no (this is not in the UK).

So you have never heard of anyone else doin FET on clomid? Also i have 5 frozen embies , how many do you suggest i get defrosted and transfered, can they grow them a bit longer once they defrosted, my last ones were barley 36hrs when they put them back which i thought was too early.

Hi Karrie

I'm not sure about your clomid questions ... but with regards to your embies; i have 6 frozxen and i have asked for 2 to be defrosted see how they thaw and then they will defrost them one by one depending if the first 2 survive. I am having 2 put back in again this time round

Good luck and i'm sure someone will be able to help on your clomid question

A xx

Thanks A,

When you getting your transfer and what meds have you been on?

Think that clomid is making me a bit nutty!!

Does that means you might have two separate transfers or will they put them back at the same time?

Have you heard anything about taking benadryl to help with implantation?

I am going to try that.

benadryl well i can;t see how this would help, maybe with natural conception as it can improve cervial mucus

i always say if anything aided implantion they our clinics would tell us

never take anything without your clinic knowing, paracentmol is ok after et

Hi Kar1

I see you are going for natural killer cell test, is this just a blood test? I have read that this is quite a common reason for unexplained!

i am not going for the full blood serum tests (from the arm) i am having a endo biospy where they test tissue from my womb lining for nk cells, this is what spills over into the blood stream

immune issue can be a reason for unexplained but it is very much untested type of treatment and not all clinics support this, even im not convinced but feel its something we must do
