Hi Everyone,
How are we all doing?
@Nikita, Sorry to hear of the failed cycle, glad you have some frozen embryos. I am surprised you weren't given Progynova (Estrogen tablet) because that's usually the norm for most don't want to say all as I am not a doctor, but as far as I know about AFC, it is usually the norm. I would query that at your next appointment, in case there was a mistake from either end. You can read the HFEA website about add-ons in fertility treatment, it will give you some more insight into what they do and are used for.
@Tinkerbell, wishing you a successful egg recovery, good fertilization, super developed embryos and obviously a bfp at the end of it all, let's know how it goes. Try to be relaxed as much as possible, usually it is not really difficult once you are well sedated and the pain reliever used is sufficient. You might be a bit sore after recovery depending on how many follicles were aspirated and how many were left untouched, so drink a lot of water and use paracetamol when necessary. Remember You can't use Ibruprofen.
@Beattie, I'm glad the bleeding has subsided, enjoy being pregnant and hope to hear good news of delivery from you soon.
@Mommy, welcome to the forum. They are usually on time, so I will expect them to get back to you when they say they will. Ours came on time.
@Bambi, how are you and baby doing? I hope you are coping well with studies, work and pregnancy?
I started a new FET protocol which required down regulations, meaning I start to inject suprecur injection from day 21 of my cycle and 18 days after, a blood test is done to check if I am fully down regulated. My blood test came back fine yesterday and I was told to commence Progynova and still continue with the suprecur injection, so a fair bit of injecting for almost a month or more (depending on how long I will be told to use it for), however I am pleased that a different protocol is being used because Progynova seems to be aggravating fibroids and endo in me and I do no want to do another surgery
. So I could do with your prayers that all goes well for me in this cycle.
