Aw thanks hun. Did you feel really fed up during down reg? I'd normally be due AF tomorrow so I am wondering if I am just a bit PMT'd? I should get a bleed as normal, is that right? Did you have to keep your snuff in the fridge? (sorry for all the questions).

lol - you aren't pants in the slightest. It all confuses me too, I had the prostap injection with my ICSI which was for down reg - that's the only reason I have a smidgen of knowledge.
I plan to go to Boots tomorrow and fill my basket with new lippie, mascara, moisturiser etc. Love spending a fortune in Boots :D

I am having a truly awful day today, can't believe how crappy I feel - really pist off.
I haven't done anything today either, haven't even done the dishes yet - DH just phoned to see if we need anything bringing home and I've warned him that perhaps he should just stay at work, lol.
I'm thinking though that it is down to AF being due? I should still have a bleed so I'm thinking I must be well PMT'd up, I've been on the sniff a week and this is the worst I've felt so far. Soz to be such a moaner :(

Hi Holly

Don't worry about being down-in-the-dumps at times... it is all down the the drugs, and it will get better.

The downregging can put a strain on you as it's taking your body to a pre-menopausal state (I think thats the right way around!). So, you will feel a bit blue.

Oh sweetie....dont worry about feeling off, we have all been there BIG TIME. The cons told me today you can get mood swings, hot flushes etc, all from the downregging meds. As you have been on them a while already I would say you can most positively yell ......"ITS THE HORMONES!!!!"
I reckon a great big bubbly bath, hot milk and an early night is just what you need.......oh and chocolate of course! :D
I really hope you feel better soon.

Thanks girls. I'm feeling a bit less stressed and your kind messages have cheered me up too.
DH has been a real sweetie since he got home, he did the dishes and tidied up the kitchen. I burst into tears like a right sad wench when he got in, just felt so sorry for myself. Hate feeling like this, will be so glad when I can start stimms.

Kara - I am due for my first scan a week today, bloods and scan. I'm hoping I'll be all ready to start stimms.

Hope you girls are feeling good today, really chuffed that you are going to be insem at roughly the same time as me - we can all support each other. Lisa too, lovely to have a BFP - you're just brilliant with tips, advice and support.

Hi Lisa,
Things are going better, thanks, but I still have a few issues to work through. I have a couple of difficult decisions to make, vis: Do I do another round of IUI, do I beg/borrow/steal/save up for a round of IVF or do I just stop altogether? If I stop, do I give up on ever becoming a mum, or do I go the adoption route? Not easy at all...
How are you keeping, Hun? And when do we get to see a ticker in your sig?

Yes, I can sympathise with those questions. We went through them a few times. We had decided that this IUI would be the last & we'd take the plunge and go for IVF. I think I felt that I just had to do the "big one" (IVF) before I could rest and feel I'd done all that I could.

You are doing exactly the right thing by taking your time over it all. It's not something that you can decided immediately... there's always if's and but's flying around.

Keep us updated with your progress if you can, it's lovely to see you back.

As for my ticker... I still havn't had dates yet, so I'm not entirely sure how many weeks I am. So, I'll hang on for a bit :)

I know how you are feeling as I've been there too. I was at the stage where I thought about giving up, then whether we should forget NHS and go private.

Having a break is a good idea. It can, and does, get very stressful and I'm sure the break will do you good.

Take care xx

Hi Holly,

I know exactly how you feel with the hormone thing, been crying last night myself so dont feel like a saddo, I think a good cry sometimes does a world of good (apart from the puffy eyes in the morning) :))

Took my pregnol last night and injected it into to my tummy, as I have been injecting Menopur into my thigh. But I have to say my tummy has really bloated like, I know this sounds horrid like it is full of wind is this normal?

Jen - Thats a bit rotten - can't they push the 3 o'clock one up any ealier? Seems so daft to have a meeting so late on a Friday when it's usualy that people often leave a tad earlier?
Hope it doesn't drag by too much

Hi Everyone,

Insem went great, like you say Debs the 2ww Oh my god I dont think I can wait that long :))

It was funny at the hospital today, I get panicked in case we get stuck in traffic with his sample so I made him do it in the toilet at the hospital. I was sat outside for 20mins thinking he's taking his time in there, when he came out he said it was the most trumatic thing he has ever done, there was only one cubicle in there and loads of people kept walkign in and shaking the door and then he said this guy walked obviously dying for a number 2 heavy breathing outside the door and breaking wind :D we couldnt stop laughing ( I said some people would get off on the thought of getting caught) he said your avin a laugh arent you.

Helped lighten the mood! Gotta get Jiggy with it tonight now Debs how about you? ;)

Oooh did you get to see his old chaps under the microscope I found that quite interesting.

Our clinics room was not very much more private than that cubicle!
We were listening into other people's conversations.

It is the weirdest experience. I mean, the rooms are hardly "inspiring"

It was a sweet room though...
At one time we ended up having sex rather than doing a sample... Bit of an accident but you need to keep a sense of humor in it all. Otherwise you will go mad!
