IVM?

:hi: All, Im REALLY sorry if this is in the wrong place, please move if necessary,

Has anyone heard of IVM (in vitro maturation)? mmmmmm. Apparently it is a new treatment that is cheaper than IVF but only available at the Oxford fertility Unit and costs 2,700 pounds. Unlike IVF, daily injections to stimulate the ovaries before egg collection are not required,

With IVM, eggs are collected from the ovaries before they are mature. They are then matured in a lab for up to 48 hours before being injected with a single sperm. A few days later the resulting embryo's are implanted into the womb. For it to be successful it is necessary to collect a large amount of eggs and because of this IVM is still limited to women with polycystic ovaries.

I was wondering if anyone has heard of this? Thanks for reading this, this seems such a good option for people with PCOS.
