CLOMID - No monitoring

Hi All

I have read loads of threads on here and it seems that monitoring by our consultants is a must? I have had my first dose of clomid and I am not due back to the hospital until August and I dont really know what thats for. I wonder if i should get on to my consulatant and ask if i should be monitored at all. I was given 6 months worth of clomid and told to contact my cons. if I dont have an AF within 6 weeks. Why did they give me 6 months worth? I get the feeling that they dont expect i will conceive hence the appt in august 08!! I guess they are just trying to regulate me as i can go anywhere between 3-7 months without AF.

Is anyone else in the same boat as me?

I think you should contact and see if they will moniter you.. they have an obligation to moniter you whether it be by blood or scans or both... if your constulatants refuse to moniter you could either complain to the PCT or go see your GP they may moniter you by blood at least...

Fingers crossed you get it sorted and let us know how you get on...
