Its started

A doctor at work patted me on the shoulder the other day after a conversation about Mooch and said 'time for another' someone else at work told me last week that she needs a little brother or sister.

I KNOW!

What business is it of theres anyway? Oh and they always feel the need to ask about my contraceptive arrangements too. P'raps I should arrive at work in the morning and announce 'Had a sh*g last night everyone, so I'll let you know if and when my period arrives.'

Odd isn't it!??! Wait til she turns 2. That was the worst bit for me. Cannot tell you how many made 'well, she's 2 now, where's her sibling' type comments. Or how many smiles, nods and mumbled comments I did!

I've got really honest now - 'nope, need help to have any more, starting IVF'. Soon shuts most people up!

And your ticker says she's just over 15 months... It's as if the world has worked out that a 2 year gap is "perfect" so you ought to be getting pg right about now.

You should ask them about their sex lives and preferred contraception whenever they bring it up.

Yes I can imagine it. Next time the doc tells me its time for another baby I will ask her if she has finished her menopause and does she experience vaginal dryness as a result! That should shut her up!

I was catching up on this thread, saw the last post first (about Bells wanting pictures) and as I read through, I did wonder what on earth was going to be pictured...

If I was feeling really bolshy, I'd tell them I couldn't have any more and watch them tripping over apologies. How dare they! Mydoc. normally lovely, even asked 'Are you pregnant yet?' two days after a bfn on an iui cycle. Really riles me that anyone thinks it is there business. Rant over. Whew.

My favourite is when I'd had my second child through ICSI the first thing the Dr said to me before being discharged from delivery suite was "and what is your planned contraceptive" and I turned around and said "none. my husband's infertile" and the look on HIS FACE !! :blowrasp:

I tell them that I am on the pill!
When I really got hacked off I asked the girl asking me "so when are you having one?" she got terribly flustered and said that she did not wish to have a child in the UK and that she would wait until she moves back to OZ...

Baby clinic at work this afternoon. There are some gorgeous little tinies here and I wouldn't be suprised if you can all hear my biological clock ticking from wherever you are! I have just been advised by a patient that I should have another one! OK then!

I think however that DHs boss has other plans, his work has gone crazy and he is doing 14 hour days. That is not helping!

I keep being asked whether I want any more, as I already have one DD - I just tell them that Sarah was free (NHS paid) but now I have to pay for the privilege of even trying with any success.

The worse bit is that now my DD is asking for a baby sister or brother because she wants to be a big sister :innocent:

Oh well, time (and money) will tell!
