Down regging for IUI

Hi All

I spoke to a nurse at my hospital today about my impending DIUI. She said that they had changed their protocol since I'd last been their (Dec) and instead of one injection a day I would now need two. I may have misunderstood but she seemed to say I would down reg at the same time as stimming - am I being dumb, I just can't work out if that makes sense? Sorry but new to getting this close to treatment. Any one have any thoughts?

x

Thanks Starlight and Moogie,

Do you know the specifics of what it each injections does? I understand the gonal F is for stimulating my ovaries but what advantage does the down regging at the same time have?

Makes much more sense now, cheers Kara! You mentioned before that yr doc's paid for meds. How did you go about this? If I ring my doc and they agree do they write the pescription or do the hospital? x

either call them or go and see your gp

what you will need to do is get a private prescription and take this to your gp and they will change it to nhs one. or your clinic can fax or send them the details

the first way i found the easy of the 2
