Gimme some good news

OK we have been TTC for over two years, neither of us are perfect but apparently we are "unexplained". Anyway we are due to start IUI around March and I am finding it hard to be positive about it as the success rates are not great.

Any good news stories out there to make me feel more positive about the whole thing?

Thank you!

I have a son conceived through IUI. I had more cycles than most clinics will allow but only because I was self funding and could not afford to have IVF after my first 3 (completed) cycles but could afford a few more insems so clinic agreed to do it. Glad I persevered as I got the result I wanted...

I have two friends - the only two I know outside fz who ave had iui - and it worked for both of them. One first time, one third. Keep in mind that there is a success rate and there's noreason it should not include you!!

Timtam,

I know how you feel, we are unexplained and think we will be refered for IUI and it is in the back of my mind that should we go for IVF instead as we are self funded? But like the other ladies said, there are success stories so we really need to stay positive.

2008 WILL be our year.

Good luck with your forthcoming tx, we may be in it together so keep me informed.

xxx

RE: Gimme some good news

Hi Timtam,

Sounds like you are in a very similar position to us. Just waiting another month or so and then will more than likely be having IUI with meds.

I know how you feel about finding positive stories relating to IUI treatment, but I know there is one lady on here who has just got a BFP with twins, I think on her second go so it must work!

We may be having treatment at similar times so let me know how you get on with everything - and you too Ali Bird!

Good luck!
