Hello

Hi everyone, sorry not been about since my original post in the Newbie folder but been poorly! ;(

For anyone who didn't see it, here's my 'story' so far in my first post;
Newbie - Be Gentle!
And a big thank you to everyone who replied!

We're still waiting for our letter to tell us when our 'class' in IUI is, but would love to hear all your experiences having IUI, have spoken to a couple of ppl on another forum and both differ greatly, so all info is very welcome!

Thanks
Kx

PS if anyone can tell me how to fix it so I get emailed when there's a new reply I'd be grateful, thought I'd sorted it on my preferences but it doesn't work!

Hi, Hun
I had a number of IUIs using donor sperm and all cycles were medicated. I was lucky enough to have little to no side effects and did get my BFP in the end. The actual IUI was also no problem at all...

Hi, i've had three IUI's using meds. The first 2 were quite painful but i have a tilted uterus. On the third one i was told to try with a full bladder to help alter the place of the uterus. I didn't feel a thing on the third IUI. All unsuccessfull but know plety of ladies who got BFP.

Hi :hello:

Im on my second medicated IUI and have found the whole procedure painless. Insem is like having a smear done. The hardest part i found at the beginning was self injecting as i am not very good with needles, but after a few goes i was fine. I was given an autoinjector which makes the process so much easier and hides the needle so you can't see it. Sadly my first IUI didn'y work, but i am now on my 2 week wait to see if my second has worked, and hold great hope that this time it has. To be honest, i think most people find the 2 week wait to find out the result the hardest part! it goes so slow!!!!

Good luck with everything and if you have any questions then feel free to ask
