Back on the ttc rollercoaster

Well AF arrived on Saturday and dh and I have decided to pray for a miracle and have decided to officialy start trying for a brother or sister for Max. I dont hold out much hope but if I have learned one thing from this site its that miracles do happen so here we go again......

Not telling anyone other than you guys as its just an added pressure we dont need - have already been told that "now we have one I will fall easily with the second as my body knows what to do now" and that "if i had just relaxed we would not have needed that ivf thingy" - yeah - me relaxing helps dh's swimmers go anywhere rather than round in circles.

Please please keep your fingers crossed for us xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Welcome to the TA-ttc world, Glitzy. You'd be knocked off your feet if it happened next month, not least because you'd only have 15 months between the two, but you've got to start soon if you feel the road is not necessarily going to be a simple one!

Hoping for a miracle for you. :D

Thanks everyone. Well thats month one in - am due af tomorrow. Perhaps I will be one of those miracle stories who gets pregnant naturally after ivf eh!!!! I tend to forget now we have Max that its not that easy to get pregnant!! As dh had his op whilst i was pregnant and now refuses to have another sa then we dont know if it has improved his sperm count. If it has then anything is possible - trying not to get my hopes up and i just wish he would have another test so we know one way or the other. It feels so weird to be ttc again! Fingers crossed no af tomorrow please an a big blinging bfp. Will get down off my cloud now and come back to reality lol xxxxxxx

How do you feel? Once you've been pg once, sometimes you can spot some of the clues a bit more easily when you're trying again. Not always  but you might know in your heart of hearts whether things are looking/feeling good or not.

Am honestly trying not to think that way or make comparisons as what I do remember is that early pregnancy is so similar to how i feel just prior to getting af anyway. The only thing that stood out when i look back with Max is how emotional i was the week before i found out i was pg - I was a wreck but that could have been nerves i suppose. No AF arrived as yet and I am holding off on the temptation to test - will test sunday if nothing as i am normally very regular every 28th day. I cant believe how broody i am again when max is only 7 months old.

Anyway for now Max and I are off to a halloween party at playgroup - time to go get him all dressed up as a spider again - so cute!!!

Thanks for thinking of me

Well 3 months on from my last post and am still in limbo land. DH still refusing to go have a sa done and still no positive tests - he still wants to just wait and see what happens but i cant help getting my hopes up every month when if he just had the sa i would know if there was any chance or not.

The urge for a baby has come back stronger than ever - M just adores other kids and i would love to have a brother or sister for him.

One day mabye

If you've needed ICSI in the past, then your DH really does need a repeat SA. I'm sure it's his self-protection that's stopping him from getting it done because he doesn't want reminding that it's not a perfect count. Can you think of a creative way of getting it organised while reassuring him that he's no less of a man just because he doesn't have superman's count?

Limpet so sorry we had crossed posts that night I missed yours.

I was optomistic this month as af was 3 days late but it arrived this morning. Something has snapped in dh though and he has agreed to do the test. I think you are totally right Limpet he just doesnt want to go there again. I cant go on getting my hopes up though not knowing if the operation has been a success re sperm count or not. I just need to know so if its bad I can start coming to terms with the fact there will be no more children. Will keep you updated x

Whatever they're like, we do have to help them along the path slowly and not mention it too much, just enough to keep things going!

Great news Glitzy that your DH has an appt and did it himself. Now you just have to get the balance right of saying "well done for booking it", "about time too" and saying absolutely nothing at all!!
