to eat or not eat dairy

Hi

Can anyone help? I thought it was good to try keep your calcium levels high during ivf treatment and throughout pregnancy. Have just read in Zita Wests book under preparing for IVF to reduce your dairy intake?

Does anyone have any advice on this plz???????

Hi Mel, I tried cutting out dairy to see if it affects my endo. I tried rice milk for a month. I was fine with it. I then gently introduced organic semi-skimmed milk into my diet and I was again fine. Didn't notice any physical changes. So I started dairy again in my diet though using organic milk instead of normal. I must say I eat lot of yogurt which is not organic. I hope this info is of some use to you.

Thanks Rightans

You just never know what is the right diet to follow. On my 4th shot which was unfortunately a BFN i drank lots of milk which i hadnt done in previous cycles. Then when i read Zita West book and told you to cut down on dairy i started doubtin whether it good for you or not

Hi Mel

Have you tried TCM? It's just before I started TCM I read Zita Wests bit in Dr A Beers book. Then I brought 'the infertility cure' by randine lewis. Which has 'tests' in it. It tells you what you are deficient in, and then tells you what foods will help in your certain case.

Zita West is amazing, but I do believe your diet can't just be the same foods for all women, it has to be catered to help 'balance' auto-immune issues.

'the infertility cure' has a whole section about Immunologic reaction & recurrent mc. Apparentely TCM retrains the immune system, rather than just suppressing it.

just my thoughts...
