Finally getting somewhere!

Hi everyone, hope you are all well. I feel that I am finally getting somewhere eventually. Seen my gyne at clinic on 20th October for the first time and confirmed I have 10 cysts on right ovary and 6 on left. Did a whole load of bloods tests and sent DH for his test which was not until 25th November so had to wait in mean time before any treatment could start. Anyway seen gyne today and got told that she would be starting my on clomid and metaformin in January. No result yet for DH but should get this in next few days! Everything takes such a long time!!!! But at last i feel on track!

ANy advice or tips would be greatly received on taking clomid and metaformin, side effects etc and how they go about monitoring me. I feel really stupid as I don't know alot about it.

Looking forward to your replies.

Hi

These threads are essential reading INFO: CLOMID - MONITORING/TRACKING and INFO: A ROUGH GUIDE TO CLOMID about clomid itself and the monitoring you should be having.

These threads have some useful info about clomid and metformin

Metformin when trying to conceive?
Metformin
clomid and metformin
Clomid with metformin

Hope that helps. Bet you're pleased to be getting somewhere!

Edited to say that I have deleted your identical thread in the PCOS area.

Thanks, I guess I should be posting here instead of the pcos one? Not quite sure as I have pcos.

I think you'll get more replies here than in the PCOS area given the treatment you're moving onto. A lot of the girls in the clomid area have pcos.
