Please help us to understand these results

Sorry was trying to get this question to the sperm scientist, I am rubbish at this, think I have my question on there now?!

Hello Sperm Scientist,

Please can you help us. My hubby has been for 3 SA and the latest results showed the following:

Volume 3.5 ml
Overall motility 69%
Progressive motility 62%
Sperm Concentration 20 million
Total Sperm Count 70 million
Normal Morphology 19%

His results before this were quite a bit lower, hence the 3rd test which he did in June, the consultant has asked him to do a final test this month to conclude the results. What is your opinion on these results? Would it be possible to conceive natrually? We have been trying for 16 months now with no success.

Thanks

Looks like they are all within the normal ranges to me hun but i'm sure someone with more experience will know more.

Has he been doing anything special to improve the results - if so, it looks like it's doing him good!

yes hun, if your DH's sperm is consistently that good it is possible to conceive naturally. My partner's is consistently worse than that and we have conceived three times naturally.

Will be interesting to see what the results of the next SA are like.

Oh meant to say he did nothing different ffrom his last test but the tests before were only a week apart so I am hoping they were just a bad batch and now out his system. Fingers crossed for even better results this time round. I'll let you know how his next results turn out, going to try and convince him to go next week.
