Ovitrelle - HCG Trigger injection - Does it work?

Hi there lovely girls

Just a quick question - does anyone know the probability of an HCG trigger shot actually working and making you ovulate?

I had my trigger shot last Tuesday morning and I am worried that I am only ovulating now - the clinic were fairly certain that I would ov about 24 - 36 hours after the shot but is this always the case.???? Does the shot always make you ovulate.

I felt a few gurnings in the stomach yesterday and did an opk which was positive so that has confused me? :8o:(I have taken clomid so perhaps that might be why the opk came up positive - I have heard that clomid can give false results on opk)

Sorry for long waffling message :snigger: :snigger: - basically what are your experiences of HCG shot - can you be sure that they make you ovulate????

Thanks x x x x x

Daisy,
I used Ovitrelle on Sat night for my E/C today and it worked! Triggered at 10.30pm and 35 hours later had E/C.
I don't know about clomid, but know the Ovitrelle worked for me!
I hope this settles your mind a bit until someone who knows more comes along!
Clara

I had it whilst on clomid...and going by my day 21 progesterone results, I always ovulated. I suppose there is a chance it didn't work but I imagine it is unusual.

Don't rely on the OPKs - really not worth it with clomid!

Yes, Hun, if you had follies of an appropriate size then you would have ovulated 24-36 hours after the shot - more likely 36. I had insem 36 hours after each shot of HCG and, as I had no other way of falling PG, it must have been timed correctly as I went on to the happy boards as you can see...
